why? cause they are a football hungry town. not just College Football but pro and you can tell theyre more desperate for the NFL than our town(still begging for the Raiders) is.

i say move the Jaguars out of Jacksonville and put them at Legion Field(until and new Stadium in built, enough for the Iron Bowl to also return to Birmingham). what you think?

It's easy to think of bigger metro areas more qualified to support a NFL team than Birmingham.

Besides, you really the NFL owners would really vote to support something like that?

Too small of a population. States like north and south dakota, wyoming, montana , new mexico, idaho, iowa, ect will never get a team. So they might as well root for the cowboys

Jags are going to London in either 2020 or 2021. Already a done deal and construction has started on the stadium they will use. Owners will support the relocation. The big question is which of the Chargers and Raiders will end up in Germany shortly afterwards.

The closest thing to a NFL team Alabama will have is the Crimson Tide.

Makes no sense, population there is a little over 200k, which outside of GB which has had the Packers since 1919, doesn't work.

city limits doesn't matter. It's about your market size and metro. Metro wise, they have a population of about 1.1 million. TV market ranking is 45 which is actually higher than New Orleans, Buffalo, and Jacksonville. Still, I don't see the NFL trying to compete with college football in that state. Probably why the NBA won't compete with college basketball in Kentucky.
