I'm looking for advice on getting a Blackberry at work. I've narrowed it down to a Curve 8310 and 8820. I'm limited to AT&T for work so those are basically my two choices.

Does anyone have any advice/experience with either of these two phones?

I support both Curve models here at my office. I know the commisioner really likes his, but I personally am not a fan of the Curve.

I picked up a Blackjack II for myself the other day.

WoW !! Just WoW! For the price and the features, it can't be beat.

It does everything and even ties into my Exchange servers very nicely.

We are w/ ATT here. I suggest checking out the Samsung Blackjack II if you get the opportunity. Kick the tires. I think you will like it better.

If you have any questions, let me know.

Good luck Duane.

Thanks for the advice TJ. I'll check the website and look at the details before I pick up a Curve.

Have you used AOL or Yahoo messenger on your phone? If so how does it work?

I use all 3

Yahoo
MSN
AIM

They work flawlessly. I can be logged into all 3 at the same time. It just bongs when I get a message. Pretty slick when you are outside the office.

YahooGo is really nice. Its a small App Yahoo wrote for Pocket PC's. It's small. I have all of my Cowboys news on it now and weather. The GPS Nav unit works great also.

The BlackJack II uses the Mini SD cards. I got an 8Gb one the other day for like 40$. Cheap for strorage of mp3's and videos.

IE works great on it also. It being a 3G phone, your network will fly. We don't have 3G here in Anchorage yet. ATT says sometime this summer. It still fairly fast for me.

Gmail also has a nice app for it. I picked that up the first day of getting it.

You had me sold on the Blackjack II but corporate IT shot it down since they only support the Blackberry PDAs. So I'll be getting the Titanium Curve 8310.

Thanks for all the help TJ.

my curve has yahoo, aim, icq, windows live, google talk, and of course blackberry messenger. All work like a charm (minus no one using GT). the Wi-Fi works good. over all i dont think i need a new phone for a good few years unless there is a new bb that just whipes the floor with my curve

Sweet. Were the IM services easy to set up on the phone?
