Blackout of London game on ABC

Does anyone understand why this game would be blacked out for ABC - I was quite confused. I know I could have paid for it but it said it was on ABC and blacked out.

ESPN in their infinite wisdom, tried to charge people for a crappy game. The NFL is dumb for going along with any business plan set forth by a company as incompetent as ESPN.

The NFL was probably using it to test the potential size of a pay-per-view market. Or they set it up in a manner in which the league gets paid no matter if ESPN gets enough subscribers or not. Even if they lost money with that specific game it is peanuts compared to what they bring in during a year.
