Blake Martinez cut

Every time I’ve seen this guy line up against the Cowboys as either a Packer or Giant he’s active he’s in on the action . With Barr Parsons Cox adding Martinez wouldn’t be a bad pick up if the price was right . He should have history with MM going back to the cheese factory .
We are stacked on defense.
We need some decent OL to get cut.

Really like the player, especially as a run defender, but why would he want to come to the Cowboys and be apart of a loaded unit already?

Yes you pass on talent depending on the situation. If saquan Barkley gets cut why in the hell would we sign him? Smh

But don't mind me. Yall continue the thoughts of signing him.

I wouldn’t sign Barkley for free . He’s one sold hit from IR .

..he probably has two good years left. Sign him up, Jerry.

Something tells me he is done. The giants cut him.
Scheme fit. Wink runs more of a 3-4 defensive scheme based on blitzes and pressure

The release was not a salary cap-driven decision. Martinez took a pay cut this offseason. He was carrying a base salary of $1.25 million and a cap hit of $7.676 million. The Giants save only $176,471 against the cap with the cut and carry $7.5 million in dead money.

A linebacker wants to play not get rotated in and out when they're not even 30 years old.
So we should let Malik Hooker go because he's going to get rotated in and out? Or we should let Dante Fowler go because he's going to get rotated in and out. Oh...the same goes for Tony Pollard too, right? Making a phone call won't hurt is the point I'm trying to make here.

There is a reason why they call it one year prove it deals.

Blake is only 28 years old....coming off an ACL injury, but cut only because of the defense scheme now being used. Think he's worth a look at least. Run stuffer in the middle. Which is a Cowboys' weakness. Giddyup......

Yes the same goes for pollard. No team in nfl history had 3 backs that need the ball and don't play special teams. Yall think like madden players is all. Martinez isn't coming to Dallas eve. If we are interested

Making a phone call to check and see won't hurt though.

So which LBer do we cut to make room for him?

He was a good player for being a 4th round pick. But we are set at LB this year.

Lol yall think all these guys want to be Cowboy backups.
If they are good enough we will have a nice rotation. When Quinn rotates players your not sitting on the bench for long. I like that because it keeps players in the game wanting to make a play.
