DD.comment: We've been hyping Blake Schlueter for a while, as scouting sources told us last spring he put on a freakish performance at his Junior Day. But, as Gil Brandt points out, the issue with Schlueter is his size (mostly his weight). Teams deemed him a bit too light last spring (282 lbs.), hence he came into the season with an undrafted projection. He actually did better at his Pro Day as a senior (ran a 4.88/40 last spring), so teams will have to look at him on Day 2 of the draft and find a place for him -- center, guard, defensive end or special teams. Where do teams find 290 pounders that work as hard as Blake and can run a 4.70 and display a 35" vertical?
could this be a sleeper? after he puts on about 20 pounds, how strong is he too?
