never was a fan. said when we signed him to an extension it was a mistake. he is not a good route runner. can't block. and as athletic as he is, can't get separation and only can run the seam route. people wanted Jarwin to replace Witten....and he even couldn't do that....he either takes a pay cut next year or he gets cut...the money belongs to Schultz

Schultz is better by leaps an bounds. Don't see as how it's even close.

I think we will see some big moments out of Jarwin along the way too, but it seemed a lot of fans underestimated Schultz even after playing well last year. Some were saying with Jarwin back he would fade into a seldom used 2nd TE, which made no sense to me. I expecte Jarwin to be a big part as well, but Schultz played too well last year to be the forgotten guy. For now anyway he looks to be the main guy at the position.

Blake Jarwin is coming from a LCA knee injury that take time ,is almost a year ago

I don’t think the extension was a mistake at all
He is paid fairly cheaply and well worth that money
Schultz is just better
And right now having both is an asset
But I’d extend Schultz and move on after this season from jarwin because I wouldn’t have two TE on second contracts

My problem with Jarwin is his cap space. He’s one of the top ten highest paid players on the team. We need more than one good TE so having Jarwin is ok. But not at his price. Schultz is going to be up for a contract next year. Who would you rather pay- Jarwin or Schultz? Seems pretty clear that Schultz is worth keeping. Jarwin could be a post June 1 cut next spring.

Both are solid players who do different things
One is just much better all around player and that’s why I said he’d be the starter this year

Jarwin is good
Just not as good as Shultz
Shultz seems more athletic than he was coming into the league to me
He’s really developed into a very effective player who Dak seems to find regularly

he is getting paid 4.5M this year...and slated to make 6.25 next year....he is not performing.....he has 8 receptions and 71 total yards in three games and no TDs....and missed a crucial block against tampa that allowed the saftey to tackle zeke.

yes, I would extend Schultz......and if I had to keep one and bring a cheaper TE, then we let Jarwin walk

wrong about what? I don't have a dog in the fight but has there been a big debate on this subject? Both are good. Jarwin is coming off an ACL issue which takes time, it is usually in the 2nd season that they are fully healed and going.. still processing the injury and learning to trust the knee again right now, so if there was a debate, I would think 3 games into a year after an ACL injury is really to early to claim victory. But that is just me.

Blake is still returning from the knee. He will improve as his confidence returns in the knee
Meanwhile, we have a dynamic duo at TE.

He’s fine Schultz is pulling away a bit but what has jarwin done to have hate posits tarted why is it every time one layer has big game the other one is trash here ?? They are teammates both will have their moments just like Zeke-pollard

There no reason to keep starting. Player controversy’s like you would with backup qb..they are teammates both constructing so what cant we like both??

Leaps and bounds NO but well rounded and more complete sure..stop putting them against each other they both are teammates and DCs and we should hope for success from both..

Fair enough. And I thought Jarwin having 59 catches in 4 years was way too soon to declare him some awesome starter!!!!!
