***Blame offense thread***

This is all on Garrett. See what happens when you let Romo take the play calling in his hands? Good things happen.

I saw a few dropped passes on 3rd down that would have kept the drive alive.

Also don't forget Atlanta missed two F/G that were in his range.

Cows LOSE

We don't know how to win in the 4th qtr just like December.

Considering it worked the week before to great effect! What a clown this guy is. I want to see his diploma.

There's a thread for that already. In this one, you're supposed to blame the offense in general. Maybe start with something about the oline until you get warmed up. Tony Romo missed some throws, too. Austin and Ogletree had drops. That sort of thing.

Offense is Jason Garret Faught but overall the blame goes on Jerry for not even having the thought of change at head coach.

I'm no Romo lover, but this one wasn't on him.
Why in the name of all things holy, does JG NOT run a fastbreak offense until he's absolutely desperate?
I just don't get it....

I honestly dont want to hear anything about Callahan being anything more than Jasons lackey. This is the worst Cowboy offense since before Parcells.

When your best offense is to simply give the QB the ball, don't block anyone, and let him run around pointing receivers open, you have a coaching problem.

I feel like Romo and Witten are doomed to waste their careers away under this coaching.

Unleash Romo.

He's the best chance for this offense to execute.

JG cannot play call and coach....I'm not even sure he can do either alone.

I thought the Cowboys needed to rush the football close to 28 times in this game to win. Felix Jones rushed it 9-39 (4.3). Jones touched it 14 times in this game, and he looked good (14-109). I don't understand running Lance Dunbar (3.2 YPC) so much in this game. That's on this coaching staff, and they should be ashamed themselves, imo. Felix wants the football; he's playing. Jones looked good, so why not 20 touches in this game? Garrett and Callahan need to be called on this one, imo. That is unacceptable. There was one draw play that looked blocked really good (inside), but Dunbar bounced it outside and got stuffed. Felix is going to hit that one really good inside, and that drive is going to live. Jones is going to be loose, too. Dallas came back with the same play early in the second half, and Jones hit it for 15 yards, right off the bat.

Atlanta ran it 26 times in this game, and they were rewarded with a big game from Micheal Turner and a big win. Dallas ran it 18 times, and that is simply not nearly enough against a suspect run defense. The passing game sputtered most of the night until they went no huddle. That sure didn't help the running game. Miles Austin had a drive crippling drop, too. Dez Bryant caught 1 ball.

Phillip Tanner on short-yardage isn't a good option. Tanner fights hard, but he's a limited player. The fact that Bryan Broaddus likes Tanner over Felix is just bizarre. Felix gives you at least a really good chance, and that drive died with Tanner getting stuffed. Did the coaches see Tanner get stuffed twice last week on the goal line. Jones has been really good in short yardage this year, and he has a TD. It was such a critical drive. I think you have to run Felix on that one.

If Felix Jones gets his 14-18 carries in this game, he's going to make that suspect Falcons rush defense pay, especially in the 2nd half. He didn't get those opportunities, and Dallas lost. Micheal Turner did get his chances.

This is so frustrating: (1st drive of the 2nd half)

Felix for 15
Felix for 6
Dunbar for 18 (you have to be kidding; they wham with Witten, wide open)
Felix for 3

2nd down and 7 from the Atlanta 44.

pass (Jones stones the CB blitz) incomplete
pass (sack)
punt

The Cowboys were in the process of establishing the run, and then it's pass and pass...punt... I think this is very poor coaching and play calling.

I'm listening to Brad Sham say Felix Jones had a "bad night". That is just pathetic on his part. He actually just stated that absurd statement on the radio; I guess he will say anything to cover for Jason Garrett's incompetence.

I think the Oline is just doing what it does best. Macky B, Cook, and Free got their ***** handed to them as usual. I know right now everyone is mad at Garret, but how are you suppose to score points when you get no push in the run game and your offense is extremely one dimensional? I do think Garret cost this team a game at Baltimore with his piss poor clock management, but his offense just stunk it up today. I did notice that Romo had less turnovers today, could it be that he didn't throw it much to Dez?? This teams needs better Olinemen bad. If the Oline was even just decent this team would be 5-3 right now instead of 3-5. This team needs to drop at least 2 premium picks on the Oline or we will see the same results next year.

This can't do anything on offense unless Romo starts freeballing it. The problem is that style of play is a contributor to mistakes Romo makes. This team is out of now. I'd really to see Romo just start playing with complete reckless abandon. He might give it away 2 or 3 times a game, but that's apparently the only way this offense is going to score. Jason Garrett is just hideous.
