Blame the buildup

I think us fans are so upset over the loss because we had it built up in our minds as a sure win. Given the recent history in the series and the ROH induction and how well they played in the close win over the Chargers, many Dallas fans felt there was no way the Cowboys could lose this game. Then, they led most of the game and the Commanders pulled it out in dramatic fashion.

I agree. I think the backlash we are seeing is mainly because of the multiple elements that was associated with this game and the excitement that everyone had built before the game. We had some predicting a romp in favor of the Cowboys. I guess it was hard to eat that Crow for some.

Overall, I think there are a lot of positives to take from this game and I believe we are in good shape to make this season a proud one overall.

I had the feeling threw this week, that we were going to lose, it just felt like we were going to lose, i knew for sure though if we won monday we would have lost at fed ex, now we will win at fed ex,whichis better to me

I went to the game in washington in 2000 i believe, i know it was when deion signed with them. They were putting art monk in the ROH that night, in addition we were 0-2. Those skins fans were feeling real good about themselves until they lost. The level of disgust amongest the Commander faithful was a beautiful sight, because they swore they had the game in the bag. Bottom line is we lost the game, the skins made the plays. That's why they call it a 60 minute game. Hopefully our coaching staff will go for the throat next time. No lead is ever big enough.

So did I dargon......I refrained from admitting it but I was worried about this one.

I think we will bounce back Sunday. ;)

The games where 'there is no way we lose' are quite often the most dangerous ones & the accompanying letdown after such a loss is far greater as a result. 99% of us had this one in the bag.

I was SO pissed, I ended up going out on my 2nd floor deck & throwing all the chairs as far as possible into the back yard, breaking two of them. (Of course I was drunk...) Damn, I HATE losing to those schmucks more than any other team. Getting hot all over again just thinking about it.

I had that nervous feeling too. The fact that every sportscaster had this as a slam dunk, with a "What could possibly go wrong" attitude, just gave some real anxiety. Worst of all, I had decided it was all nerves after the third quarter.

That is the reason I was so devastated by the loss, not the build up.

Right on:hammer: I go into every game saying we could lose, but it was the way we lost that got me!!

I was more shocked than mad.......that is until Tuesday morning.

Don't blame me. I made several posts extolling the Skins' D, predicted a close game, and noted that Brunell was more dangerous than Ramsey. I'm off the hook.

This whole post is exactly how I felt especially deciding that I was foolish for being sooo nervous about the game when the third quarter came to a close.
