Yes, and elite QB's can make average WR's good and bad WR's bad. But what we have on the roster is either subpackage guys and players with #1 or #2 potential that isnt close to realizing it yet.

As bad as Dak is, we also need an infusion of talent at the WR position.

We arent getting that for a while, even if we were to hit on a draft pick.

Dak can't make throws if he gets pressure 80% of the time, no quarterback can. You begin to hear footsteps, don't care who you are. Eli's the classic example - he's won 2 SBs, but knock him around a few times and he turns into a poor quarterback.

Other teams, like Seattle, when they have problems in pass protection or whatever, make changes and fix the problem.

This team can't.

I don't blame Dak, Zeke, Sean Lee or any other player. They play the best they can. Every player has faults and weak areas in their game. Good coaches put them in positions where they can utilize their talents.

This coaching staff, from Garrett on down, haven't a clue how to do that.

Oh wait, I except the kicking coach, he does a good job...

The Cowboys actually downgraded the WR and TE positions with the release of Dez and Witten retiring.

And those two were average at best last season.

When the Cowboys were dominant they had a dominant D, special teams, offensive line, RB, WRs, TE, and coach.

This current Cowboys team lack dominant WRs, TE, offensive line, defense, special teams, and a coach.

That is why they are mediocre.
