In a few days I am going to start an Al Davis/Jerry Jones thread. At the end Davis was very much like Jones is today and has always been. But for a long, long time Davis had it all together and knew exactly what he was doing. There is a lot to the Davis story...much of it good football wise (unlike Jones).

Jerry can't put together a team capable of winning in the salary cap area. I find this ironically hilarious since he was the biggest proponent of the salary cap, therefore he uttered in his own demise over 25 years ago. You have to have shrewd, intelligent GM in the salary cap era yet we are stuck with the worst in the NFL. We will never win another Super Bowl as long as he is around. Fans need to accept that.

How can they do that when they win just enough games to take us out of having any legitimate chance at drafting in the top 10? They wont trade picks we know that already so we are stuck. Correct, but a lot of that is the 'liking our guys' approach....where Jerry can actually let these names (Zeke, Tyron, Schultz. LVE) go. Whether he's prepared to accept that he's been wrong and rather than compound matters, looks to offload the mistakes or players that are just too expensive to re-sign (Diggs).
Whatever he does don't even consider restructuring Dak....as a last resort may have to move some money into 25/26 void years, but really needs to work towards parting ways in two years.

Coaches have come and gone...QBs have come and gone......WRs have come and gone....pass rushers have come and gone....if you are not part of the solution...then you are part of the problem....that is why QBs, WRs, RBs, DL, CBs, and Coaches have come and are now gone...guess who has not?

Jones gave perhaps the most average QB in the league 140 million. That was a disaster. He was unproven then, and now has shown he is a journeyman at best. We cannot win championships with this loser. Get rid of him ASAP. Mr. Irrelevant was far better as a rookie and making 1/32 of Daks pay. This is ridiculous.

So Dak was probably in diapers when this 3 decades long slide started. Dak was not involved in trading first round picks for WRs. Dak didn’t have a special teams draft. Dak didn’t pay a RB a record contract. Dak didn’t fire Jimmy. He didn’t run Parcells out of town for Wade Phillips. Dak didn’t hire Campo. Dak didn’t hire and stick with a guy for 10 years that will never be a head coach in the league again. Dak wasn’t involved in the decision to avoid drafting OL and DL in the first round for years. Dak does not have the record of 2nd round busts. Dak didn’t draft Taco over Watt. Dak didn’t give Jaylon Smith 60 million dollars. Dak didn’t hire Kiffin.

I could go on for ever. Dak sucked yesterday. He will likely struggle against good defenses. He is inconsistent. They are stuck with him for at least 2 years. Still ruining the franchise is ALL on Jerry Jones.
