Wasn’t the # 2 draft choice wearing # 1 burned for a TD after Watson left Brown concussed on the ground grasping at air on the first bomb . And while I’m at it can we see any deep safety coverage out of Hooker or is this not a nice request . Bland a rookie a 5th rounder is down list of culprits. . Like Broadside on the FAN post game hitting on Diggs run support .

Really ? Diggs and Bland ….

...I think Rodgers knew he could get his number. Tested him throughout the game.

The 4th N 7 during 4th qtr was huge play. Disastrous for Dallas, Bland again was targeted.

Had they stopped them. Dont think GB wins.

Do we expect Lewis back this year or is he out for the season? I like Bland, but he's a rookie and it's tough to play corner as a rookie.

Corners w/o help over the top give up big plays. Top 5 QB of all time throwing against a CB in man coverage is going to win a lot.

Did Joseph get "burnt"?

They were playing zone on that TD where he had early coverage and passed him off the the Safety but the Safety was late.

Joseph is really fast but he is still learning what a to do when the ball is thrown.

In the meantime, GB was missing a starting CB and 3 top LBs and the Cowboys didn't really exploit those losses for GB. Don't feel sorry for backups, isolate them and pick on them all day. Out TEs and RBs should have been exploiting the backup LBs the entire game. Instead Hendershot had 1 target, 0 catches and Ferguson was targeted at all. Shultz got 7 8 targets I think but he can't run so he can't exploit anyone.

This was jusst a bad game all around for Dallas. They played poorly, made too many mistakes, and the coaches didn't have a good game either.

He is just a bigger version of Jordan Lewis. Plays with good intensity but not enough foot speed.

He smells like a free safety to me.
:muttley:

1) He's a rookie
2) before Lewis injury he was limited in reps
3) Name one CB on our team that has never been thru his share of struggles ?
4) he's a 4.4 athletic. Raw speed isn't an issue
5 He has that old nasty annoying Cowboys CB habit (see Scandrick, Awuzie, Anthony Brown, etc)... of Not Turning his Head for the ball in Air.
6 He seems more comfortable and better going forward than reverse turn n go
7) he has the size/speed ratio and INT skills they coveted in CBs
8) in due time with coaching, game experience -well find out whether CB or S.
9) As with ANY DB whether CB or S, he has to have a quick forgettable memory; quick mental recovery
10) Bland has quality coaches with Quinn, Al Harris, etc

It's ok he is still an upgrade over Lewis. A bunch on here told me so. They told me Lewis is a trash nickel corner and Bland is amazing.

Don't want to start another Bland thread.

You guys think he's in this week? I fear cousins will be looking his way, right off the boot.

Bland did have his worst game....hope its a learning tool for him. I remember Diggs going through this his rookie year too. Still have hope for him to bounce back and improve as the season progresses.

Right. He could just need more seasoning. He didn't really play all that much in college and hasn't played much as a pro. If Brown leaves in the offseason and we elevate Joseph to starter, I think we can expect him to take his lumps until he gets it figured out, but I think the skill is there. Of course, that doesn't mean he'll ever become great, but we need to let him learn on the job to find that out IMO.

He's the nickel corner until Lewis comes back. He'd have to continue to get burned like he did on those couple of plays for that to change IMO.
