Cowboys CB DaRon Bland: "Moving back to the outside will be good, I just got to keep my head straight. ... I'm definitely a lot more comfortable. I'm not playing as much on instincts. I'm able to be better at my techniques. ... I've already been going back and forth (from inside CB to outside CB) so I feel like it's not too much of a transition for me."

Stephon Gilmore's advice to him: "Just keep it the same. Don't try to do too much. Just be you."

Bart Scott just lit a fire by taking a public shot at the franchise after Diggs’ injury. This team is rallying— you can just feel it.

The Cards might not get a first down on Sunday lol

The irony of this is, yes, Diggs is an All-Pro level player, but Bland keeps improving and is the FAR MORE PHYSICAL player. So, like someone said earlier, if he can guard his guy for 2.3 seconds, he'll be all right. And, we may be even better defending the sweeps.

Under rated point. He has Gilmore to continue to help mold him. That pick up is really going to show why it was so important now.

Bland was going to be the second corner next year anyway. Now he will get to show what he can do a year early.

Diggs has been physical this year so I would not say Bland is the far more physical player.

I would say Bland is the more CONSISTENTLY physical player, and that is NOT me taking shots at Diggs - Diggs may be the best Ballhawk in the NFL. And, yet, Bland has 6 INT in 14 regular season games. The future looks bright for the Dallas CB room even when Gilmore is gone.

He's going to get the targets, that's for sure. I'd surely test him if I were an OC. Let's see.

If I'm not mistaken Bland lead the team in interceptions last year.

He may not be Diggs, but with the volume of passes that will be thrown his way he may lead the team in interceptions again.
He’s not Diggs but he can get the ball. He doesn’t have the receiver skills Diggs has but he’s a scrapper and a ball hawk. He’s also a better tackler. I’m not worried about Bland, or even JLew. My concern is after those guys we are thin. I’m hoping for some of the unknowns to step up.

I'm not worried about Bland specifically, I'm more worried about how it trickles down to the rest of the defense. The Cowboys played the most man coverage in football over the first two weeks, and often didn't have any type of saftey coverage over the top. I guarantee they wont be putting Bland on an island like that nearly as often. All of a sudden now those Safeties have to play a more traditional role and your getting less help from them in other areas. I don't think that means the defense becomes super vulnerable, but they may go from a truly elite-level defense back to really really good.
