Bland the 4th best corner on the team in a year

Let's go, but you don't remove freedom of speed and where is your football. If YOU have a complaint, lodge it properly. Gossip doesn't impress me...The Cowboys have improved quite a bit and I'm not crying about that.

freedom of speed eh? your random word generator appears to be malfunctioning.

arguably Bland might be the best CB on the team. Between him and Diggs and I will take bland because he makes nowhere near as many 'business decisions'

When he's not getting picks, he's not good. Digs is way better at coverage. Elam will be better if allowed to play press coverage. Glands solid but he's the m Gallup of corners.
Diggs isn't squat anymore! I'm sick and tired of him playing off receivers 10 to 15 yds on PASSING DOWNS and when it comes to his tackling style, he's a complete joke.

Doesn't matter, he's going to get paid based off what he did years ago

Fox sports ranked Bland as the 8th best CB in the NFL for last season. Some may move him up or down this list but he is the best CB on this team until proven otherwise....but it is not even close.

...IDK...last year was bad year for almost everyone except Aubrey. Diggs can be formidable if he grows new pair and tackle.

Bland is still learning out there. Hopefully, the new coaching will get him back to 23' form.

At least Bland doesn't shy away from tackling, unlike Diggs. Diggs is all about business decisions especially in the playoffs.
Basing your opinion off of one play when he was a rookie is seriously deranged.

You're incorrect. 2023 (2022 season) wasn't his rookie year. His rookie year was 2020. After he got paid, he seemed to start shying away from some tackling, including in the 19-12 playoff loss to the 49ers. He was right there and didn't put in the effort. That's inexcusable. It was the playoffs.

What???

Diggs never saw a tackle he would chose to avoid. Also his cover skills are very overrated. Bland is a much better player.

Elam sucked in Buffalo. There’s a reason they let him go.

He got torched in their last playoff game.

It’s one play

For all the complaints and comparisons, Diggs and Bland are very much alike other than Bland beginning his career as a slot corner instead of outside. Neither of them have elite speed, quickness. Neither of them are standouts in press man coverage. However, both are very good playing “off” coverage. When you are very good at off coverage, you can excel in man or zone schemes. They will never be “shut down corners, but they understand scheme and routes and timing. By playing “off,” they are reading the route combinations and the QB, keeping their eyes on the QB, knowing when to break on the route and ball. That’s why they have both had big interception rates at times. They have actually seldom played together, but if they do, and if the pass rush is there and the run defense improved, it could be special.

Stop trying to dump one for the other. They are both young, 25 and 26, and have both been first team All Pro. That’s rare. I’m not letting either of them leave unless injury prevents them from getting back to form.

You're just going to assume he's not better than the rookie Gevel? Gmon, man.
