Blandino says McFadden lacked “firm control” on overturned catch

Dez caught it. McFadden fumbled it. Street's block was legal. Seattle ran multiple illegal picks.

The rules are sufficiently ambiguous enough that the NFL can explain away almost anything they want to.

It's curiously disturbing.

I'm beginning to think Jerry is a push-over with respect to the NFL, as opposed to guys like Kraft and Mara, who constantly whine and get their way. Jerry apparently needs to grow a pair, because he's tolerating a lot of nonsense, including the whole salary-cap BS a few years back.

Did he really say that? He absolutely had firm control. He had enough control to try and switch to the other arm, which is when he fumbled. This **** is out. of. control.

Be quiet. It came out in our favor. He is just trying to show he is "fair and balanced".

This is just a big drama they try to write every gameday. It clearly was not dramatic enough to have the Seahawks get that fumble recovery. They needed more time for Wilson to play hero in the story.

Yeah, and I'm glad it benefited us, but it gets worse and worse every year. Soon you'll have to run 10 yards with your arms straight out so the refs can see before it's considered a catch. Lol

Just seems odd he had to personally address this call as well, like all Cowboy calls and non-calls need to have his opinion voiced.

I had honestly forgotten about that play, I was only concerned about the missed time out situation.

I would like to hear him explain why the officiating crew didn't stop the clock when Wilson dove out of bounds. That no catch was too easy because it fits the narrative that they've been spewing.

I'm really starting to wonder if all of this ambiguity is in place so they can influence the outcome of the games in favor of certain teams. It really is feelling more and more like the fix is in.

It seems Blandino is having to answer this "catch" question at least once every game day. I bet he won't answer questions regarding the phantom time out, Street's pick play, or why NE, Denver and GB run pick plays every pass play they run, and rarely if ever get called for it.

He will not respond to tweets.

that's me I think the fix is in I have thought that for awhile now im almost sure of it to many rules that depend on the judgement of the officials.

He pointed out that he lost it just after he got his 2nd foot down. Upon first viewing, I thought it was a clear fumble, but looking at the replay and seeing when his steps occurred, he didn't really have control after that point. If you go by football moves, if you lose the ball making such a move, I don't think it would count as clearly becoming a runner.

Don't understand why 2 feet on the ground RUNNING with control isn't the SIMPLE solution

It's really that SIMPLE

I'm surprised McFadden doesn't have that happen more often. He carries it really high. Which, once he has the ball secured, is probably better against fumbling, but when he's securing it initially, it almost looks like it'd be real easy for it to pop out the top like it did on that play.

I guess it's not really a thing since he's not a fumbler, but still. It started making me nervous once that play happened.
