Twitter: Blast from the past: Staubach to Pearson

Props to Drew for catching a badly underthrown ball.
Researching the weather archives of Bloomington Minnesota on December 28th 1975 revealed that the pass was thrown into a gale force wind of 47 knots.

Digital re-creation of the pass revealed that the pass was projected to travel 70 yards in neutral wind conditions.

Roger obviously adjusted his arc and velocity to drop it in the bucket

I remember watching that game; it was NOT that windy

Didn't the upper tier on the west end of Metropolitan Stadium detach and actually achieve flight from that wind?

They still search for survivors to this day......

What happened after the Pearson touchdown? People missed that great pleasure. Too Tall Jones from the LDE emerges as a man among Boys, with arms longer than a giraffe's neck and sacks Fran Tarkenton twice to end the game.
