I am in Edmonton, Alberta Canada for work and turn on the TV and find CFL on, and decide to watch. Who do I see playing corner for the Edmonton Eskimos? No other than Pat Watkins. Insane that a guy who is 6'5" plays safety now.

Pretty cool that he is still in Pro Football. I thought his career would have ended early, due to his poor tackling technique and leading with his head.

Also, there is a typo up there I missed yesterday. He used to play safety here. HE IS A 6'5" CORNER now!

I remember following him in college and did cartwheels when we drafted him.

Was pretty sad he didn't pan out here.

He's a guy I thought was going to make it in the NFL. Crazy he's still around and kicking.

I thought his height worked against him. But still, if he were a better tackler, he'd be a 8-9 year NFL veteran at this point as a STs star/depth S.

Mickey Spagnola called him a "ground eater".
Meaning though he may not have been fast in speed, but his long stride allowed him to make up a lot of ground and get to the play or runner faster than you think he could get there.
But his tackling and angles just weren't there from the way it seemed.

Remember that picture floating around about him that made people think he could fly?

Good for him, I'm happy for him that he's playing and never hurt himself tackling someone. Didn't Parcells say that if he kept tackling the way he was that he would eventually break his neck. I'm glad he's playing and healthy

I thought he had a chance to be the ball-hawking safety Dallas has lacked for so long.

Now, I hope that is Byron Jones.
