The biggest problem I have with this staff is that they seem to mess up on management issues that the casual fan and Mike Tirico seem to know like the back of their hand.

-You kick a field goal down by 18.

-You don't go for two until you absolutely have to, otherwise its a 12 point game and all hope is lost.

-You don't punt on 4th and 5 from the Vikings 30, when you have a chance to hold them to a field goal and one possession game even if you turn the ball over

-You don't run a hail mary play when you know Tony can't throw the ball 75 yards in the air before the half, and there isn't enough time to throw short to get in field goal range.

There have been many more this season, share your thoughts on the debacle in Dallas.

I've never agreed with this logic.

Surely if, at some point, you know you are going to have to convert a 2 point conversion, it's better to attempt it sooner so that if you don't convert you can plan accordingly for whatever remains of the game.

If you leave the 2 point conversion until the very last minute/seconds and you fail to convert then there is no time left to try to account for the situation.

Not kicking the field goal bothered me more than anything else, besides getting the doors blown off.

Craig

This is the one that kills me, down by one, we have the ball at the end of the half and Witten fumbles the ball but it is not called on the field.

Now, instead of Wade Phillips telling them to hurry up and run another play before they have a chance to review it, he actually starts to call a timeout. A freaking timeout.

The Giants did call a timeout to get the play reviewed, but the fact that Wade was going to call for one on his own baffles me and confuses me and makes me want to punch a donut or anything that reminds me of Wade.

I didn't have a problem with them going for the TD instead of the FG. I didn't even have a problem with them going for two. They were going to have to do that eventually. There is a reason Mike Tirico and Jaws are in the booth and not coaching. So, please don't quote those guys with regards to the two point conversion. The problem I have is that nobody with the exception of Dez seemed as if they gave a damn. The rookie for crying out loud. Then for Wade to commend the team on their effort after the game was just ridiculous.

Wow that's all?

A few more...

You either run it or play action pass it on 3rd and short when your running back is 5 for 5 on short yardage plays in the game.

You provide blocking help to your backup right tackle on a potentially game winning play, especially when he has had trouble all game long.

You don't tell your team they are a better team than what their record is.

The non FG kick was so weird.

After the booth wondered why they were doing it (except for Gruden who had already ruled like many of us - GAME OVER) they pan to Wade, who looks confused (surprise) and is hilding up two fingers to Jason Garrett, who appears to be completely ignoring him like you would a little child who is just chattering on.

just sad. i knew better when i played pop warner way back in the day.

You don't put Dez Bryant back to return a kick and let him catch it and run it out 9 yards deep in the end zone on a "fake".

We got to the 10 yard line on that return, punted, they scored a few plays later.

You don't hire a crappy QB's coach to be a OC.

You especially don't hire one before you hire the HC.

You especially don't even consider him to be a HC because it's in his genes.

If Dez Bryant would have got the football in his hands, they probably would have scored instead of getting nothing.

No, that is not correct.

When it's late in the game, you go for two the first time you have a chance. You HAVE to know whether you were successful in converting, because you can manage the rest of the game.

If you fail to convert in the middle of the fourth quarter, you know you need two more touchdowns, and you won't waste one of your possessions kicking a field goal.

If you kick the PAT, kick a field goal on your next possession to pull within eight, then fail to convert after scoring a TD in the final seconds, it's probably too late to get yet another possession. You essentially wasted a possession kicking a field goal, and you'll probably lose because of it.

This is a dumb team starting at the top. :bang2:

Dumb Management
Dumb Coaches
Dumb Players

How can you expect to win with that?

Don't cover WR's with molasses-hipped SS's.

This KILLED ME!

Thought of another one...

You don't have your safety cover the other team's best receiver one on one.

You don't allow Felix Jones to average 7.3 carries per game (during his career) before the Tennessee game. :)
