Peyton Manning of the Indianapolis Colts has not only been called the best Quarterback of this era, but the best Quarterback of all time. How does the Quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, Tony Romo, stack up when compared to this football icon?

I heard an interview with Rodger Staubach, he said Romo is a lot better then he is given credit for and is right now one of the best.

I agree.....he has done some remarkable things so far. Can he keep progressing like Peyton? Who knows but so far he is doing well. Technically Eli also is doing better than his brother.

Manning hit his pinnacle as well....he is not getting better.

Romo got to sit and learn from the bench for 3 seasons (the way it SHOULD be done), and Peyton started as a rookie from day 1.

I really doubt you will have anyone as fine tuned to the QB slot as Peyton Manning is for a long time.

With ball security he has, but his accuracy in the end zone and down feed hasn't. In order for him to be Peyton Manning good he has to improve on those two things IMO. He also is not as elusive as he once was.

Well I do not think Tony will ever be "as good" as Peyton as far as being the prototypical QB .....

But there are a huge number of guys that have been more successful as a QB than Peyton ..... hopefully Romo can be one of those.

Which is why he didn't use Manning's rookie season In the comparison. He adressed this in the article.

Odd, I've seen dramatic improvement in Romo every single year he has been a starter. Not sure what you're *not* seeing. I mean, him only throwing 9 INTs last year was a huge improvement was it not?

His ball security was great as I stated before but his ability to get the ball in the endzone also has gone down. Again its not a knock on him just expected him to grow from those 07 and beginning of 08 seasons. imo thats when he played best.
