Bledsoe/Al Johnson pathetic *merged*

I dont like seeing it. And yes, AJ does play more than Gurode, but he's done this alot. And what do I see like 2 series later, him getting BLOWN up and driven back. I always liked Johnson, but he's starting to show the things alot of people called himo ut for, lack of strength, and he's definately gotta be at fault for these fumbled snaps

Like Parcells said, it wasn't a problem last year. It's all on Bledsoe fellas. Stuff like this is why a career 40,000 yard passer was available in free agency.

I didn't read this thread so I don't know if anyone commented on it, but has anyone noticed that it seems that everytime we have a bad snap it's when someone is lined up right over Johnson or in his gap?

It's either Johnson not snapping it right cuz he's worried about that player shooting the gap or Bledsoe is pulling out early cuz he isn't confident the guy in the gap will get blocked.

Rack, it looks like both simultaneously..Al nosing up and Drew pulling back and the poor football in no-man's land.

Johnsons or Bledsoes fault who cares. We won the game.

Lets just hope there is a beast at Center in this coming draft and we can use our 1st rounder on him. Al Johnson and Andre Gurode suck.

Either way, Bledsoe's fault or Johnson, Al just plain sucks. How many times do we have to watch him get driven back 5 yards.

Why do you all assume it's all the center's fault?
Because he look's scared when a NT is lined up across from him in a cocked position, especially if he knows he is outweighed by 40-50 lbs. All of a sudden he's got alligator arms when it comes to snapping the ball. Al is light in the butt. However, I will conceded that a portion of it is Bledsoe's fault as well.

Johnson gets pushed around and knocked on butt EVERY game. Period.

I don't know is more responsible. I don't even care that much. I'm kind of like Bill, "Just fix it!"

So AJ hasn't been responsible for any of the fumbled snaps???? I distinctly remember at least one where the ball didn't even make it halfway up to Drew's hands.

what's annoying is that after the botched snap Bledsoe reverted back to securing the snap (which took an extra second) before going into his drop. It started looking like the entire OL was leaving early but it was Bledsoe that was delaying his release from center.

No excuse for 6 QB/C fumbles in 8 games. I think Johnson is the problem because Bledsoe had no history of this problem before this year.

True, but Parcells has pointed out that Vinny didn't have a chronic problem with Al. Something isn't right with the two of them. When Bledsoe fumbles, it looks like he's pulling out early. Many other times, it looks like Bledsoe is a split second delayed. It's amazing how much smoother the exchange looks with Gurode. This could really cost us down the road. I pity the poor coach who has to sift thru hours of footage of Drew's hands under Al's arse to try to ID the problem...

So someone's pulling out early and someone else is bouncing it off of their own arse?

I'm staying outta this one.

If Bledsoe is the problem please explain the following:

Fact: Gurode is getting about 1/3 of the snaps at center and to my knowledge has had zero bad exchanges.
Fact: Last week Johnson snapped one off Bledsoe's knee.

Fact: Bledsoe's in his 13th year and I've never heard he had a problem with exchanges from center. Did he forget how?

Parcells already blamed the botched snaps on Bledsoe. He said we didn't have the problem before, and Bledsoe is the new component. It's a shame too, because aside from that Bledsoe looked terrific.

It's not all on Al... give it up.
It's on both of them. That exchange takes two... It's easier to replace your Center than your QB. Al Johnson has been getting blown up all year anyways. If the combo isn't working then it just might need a change. Havent seen any missed snaps with Gurode in there. I'm sure there is a trade-off but I guess you would rather not fumble the ball...
