With top WR's and a top TE like we have the oppurtunity to burn a blitz is certainly there. The Birds must know this- but if their secondary is as banged up as claimed they might have no choice but to blitz.

thats a reason not to blitz, because when u blitz u leave your corners all alone. Usually if you have hurt CB's, you drop alot of people into coverage and force the QB to either make small dumpoffs, or dangerous throws into coverage.

BUT if you have TOP WR's then dropping back does not do much good at all since you are not going to get much coverage THAT way especially with banged up secondary players. Blitzing at least gives you a chance to make a play.

But if you drop back in coverge, then that means that you increase your chance of confusing the QB, and forcing him to making a bad throw.

If you blitz, its not like our WR's are short, or slow, all bledsoe has to do is throw either a quick slant, or a ball down the sideline and let TO or Glenn go get it. TD.

Its much safer to just drop back, and let your DL try to put pressure on the QB

If they blitz, T.O. will have a field day running short routes across the middle and slants. They can't cover him one-on-one and these are the routes that he is most deadly. With no LBs in the middle of the field, look out.
