I was going through some of Bledsoes interceptions from last season. I was focusing on meaningless intereceptions. I have seen it posted, and I remember that he had somewhere near three interceptions resulting from Hail Mary attempts at the end of the half and/or game. I remember one in the San Fran game, but I was wondering if anyone knows the exact amount and which games he threw them.

Why? No reason, I'm just trying to get a better read on his tendencies and certainly want to discount these interceptions.

there was one woodson intercepted on a hail mary. There was one on fourth down against the giants that pinned them on there 5 yard line which bassiaclly was a punt, he had a real late on against the skins with like 5 seconds left when it was 38-7. He had a late one against the rams, like maybe a 45 seconds left in a meaningless game. Also against the 9ers there was a fluke one i remember how it like bounced around really weird or somethin

Basically then, probably three or four.

There are so many misconceptions about Drew....

Perhaps.

I would say that the numbers of "meaningless" interceptions are probably something that can be applied to any QB who starts for his team. While you may say that 4 or 5 are meaningless, you put it in context with other QBs who also have to carry "meaningless" INTs on there stat sheet and it balances the equation to some extent.

It is a relative thing.

You may be right, but other QB's are not labeled as quickly as Bledsoe is when it comes to interceptions for some reason. It's not as bad as it is made out to be, for whatever reason.

Because its relative.

Palmer probably threw meaningless INTs as well.

So subtract from 10.

Bledsoe threw a couple.

So subtract from 17.

Also, some QBs like Farve had to deal with injuries to just about everyone, so his INTs were higher, as he had to become a playmaker on every play. QBs like McNabb had injuries to themselves which affected their gameplay. QBs like Eli Manning threw their shareful (and heard about it) but bec. they are young, they'll most likely improve.

Drew threw 17. And he was considered to have a good season. That is the difference.

Any QB who has thrown the amount of INTs Bledsoe has thrown will get labled quickly. To me, it is not unfair. To me, it is part of the legacy. He also gets credited for his ability to throw TDs and the amount of completions/yards he's thrown for. The discussion about McNabb and Bledsoe a few days ago is an example of how he also gets credit for things.

I don't believe it's all that unfair. I believe it is all part of the whole.

Exactly...

Reggie Jackson = Homeruns & Strikeouts.

While a player may be awfully good in one area as Bledsoe is with his long-passes... he can be bad in another such as sacks.
