I am so sick and tired of the Mickey Spagnolas of the world who continue to make excuses for Deadslow and not fill up the tank of the same bus they used to drive Q-Car under.
It is amazing how just three seasons ago it was Mickey and friends who led the parade of critics of how limited Q was and how he wasnt ready.
Well in Q's third season (and parcells first) all he did was drive the bus to our first playoff game in years.
Q was not a first round draft choice, hadnt been to SBs, no Pro-Bowls, and was not on his way to the HOF!
He was thrown to the wolves as a rookie, had to learn a different offense with a different coordinator every season, and play for a lottery team with no proven weapons.
No, I am not apologizing for Q because he had his chance and made his mistakes and now he is paying for them by not being in the league.
But once, just once, I would like to hear Mickey and friends give an honest estimate of the limitations of Deadslow with the same venom they gave Q.
Let's evaluate this for a second.
Q-car didnt have nearly the weapons and talent that Deadslow has.
Q led his team to a 10-6 record (with a few loses that were real close, remember) without ever having a running game.
He had to make lemonade with the likes of a washed up emmitt or a leadfoot Hambrick.
He didnt have a receiver (TG was going thru his fragile 6 games and out stage and Galloway was no pro-bowler) and had to deal with a OL that changed weekly!
Talk about running for you life! Just think if Bledsoe( I mean Deadslow) had to play with that team and what the record would have been?
Sure, Q made his mistakes but he was in his third season for God sakes! And if you bite the bullet and admit it then you know he was actually getting better!
Now I am not apologizing for Q and saying he was the next troy but he drove the bus with the engine he was given.
And how many times did we hear parcell talk about how Q needs to learn this and he needs to do this better?
All the time! It was never good enough and he was constantly yelled at and his mistakes magnified.
And the Mickeys of the world sold their opinion to the masses. He cant do this and he cant do that.
But all he did was drive us to the playoffs with less talent, more scrutiny, more pressure, and less support.
He would have begged for a JJ or Barber that could gain a thousand yards.
Add TWO Pro-Bowl Receivers and a Pro-Bowl TE. Couple that with a OL that was serviceable.
Remember how Q was always running for his life and NEVER had time.
At least Deadslow has time to hold the ball too long.
Where r you Mickey to bash Deadslow like you did Q?

Parcells, why not publicly call out Deadslow like you did Q?
No I am not saying Q was our savior.... but all he did was take us to our last playoff game with less talent and more pressure.

He is not accurate! He cant throw the deep ball! He holds the ball too long! He is very immobile! He takes too many sacks! Did I mention he is not accurate?
Sure Mickey he threw for over 3000 yards but how many yards and TDs did he leave on the field?
I know we had about 3-4 games where our kicker could have won the game but what how many times did his mistakes and "missed" opportunites" put us in that position?
Too often Deadslow is giving credit for bad throws that turn out to be great catches. TG has made him look good too many times for throws that were frankly badly thrown balls.
T.O. one TD catch for examply. TG washington td catch. TG titan td catch.
But then there are the "missed opportunities". Boy, and it is just way too many to count. T.O. has every right in the world to complain about his qb this time.
Deadslow either underthrows him (which I find so hard to understand with the speed of his receivers) or doesnt throw it.
Yes we have a very average OL that needs to play better. Not below but average. But they are not the ones throwing umpteenth ints.
Q would have tee teed on his self if he had this line with the weapons Deadslow has.
Now I will not stoop so low as to pull the race card but where are the Mickeys of the worlds and why hold a different standard for Deadslow than for Q?
If anything, he should be held to a higher standard!
And for all this talk about how Deadslow will retire if he is benched and replaced by ROMO.....

Fans pays hard earned money to watch winners and could care less if he decides to quit and take his millions and retire.

How do you know he's ready until you play him? If Brady can come in as a sixth rounder and lead a team to a SB on the fly then why can't ROMO?
You kept him for a reason and the cowboys resigned for a reason.
What would you rather have? A young, mobile, cocky, accurate, and ready to play qb or a stiff, inaccurate, rattled, indecisive, veteran looking for that elusive championship?
Deadslow you are in the same boat as Kurt Warner and Evander Holyfield. Deadslow your time has passed!
