Has anyone thought about this? How do you think Drew will react when Owens barks at him or calls him out in the media? Do you think he will turtle up ala McNabb? I dont.

My guess is that Drew step up and squashes any issue w/ TO. Even if its a trip to the backyard.

Ahh the backyard. I remember me and my big brother making that trip often.

Memories....

This is one reason, and a big one at that, I think JJ and BP would think this could work.

Bledose could handle this, and he would not let it effect him like big ole sensitive McNabb.

Won't happen. Drew will throw the ball to TO so much, TO will complain about being over-worked. :)

Drew Bledsoe knows how to take criticism. He doesn't have a $100 million contract anymore that forces him to represent "the Company Line". Bledsoe dealt with Keyshawn blowing up at him easily enough, he can also deal with Owens.

No one was harder on Bledsoe in the press or otherwise after that Seattle loss than Bledsoe himself. Bledsoe accepted blame for the last play of the Oakland loss. Team sport or not, players have to respect a QB who personally accepts blame. It's called leadership-- Bledsoe's not perfect at it but he's thick-skinned enough to keep trying at it.

:D

Owens wouldn't complain.

Ego set the 49ers single game receptions record (21?) in Jerry Rice's final game with the club and he complained afterwards about not seeing the ball enough.

Mental that one.

TO will have every opportunity to catch plenty of balls. (no pun intended)
BP has a way of letting the stars shine, and I think BP will be someone TO really develope a bond with.

TO is a whole different animal than Keyshawn, but I seriously doubt he's going to back down him if he called out Keyshawn like he did during the eagles game.

Bledsoe is a strong, confident personality. He will handle TO just fine if he comes here. Plus TO will have nothing to complain about with as much as he'll get the ball.

I hope that Drew hits TO in the nuts like in the original 'The longest yard'. Twice even.

I think TO and Drew might actually click for some reason. Bledsoe and he might develop a pretty good thing. Many focus on the negatives but the facts are NO ONE knows what will happen. It could work out for everyone in the end or it could be a failure but I doubt very seriously it will end up like the Iggles situation. There will be preventative measures in place I'm sure.

Owens isn't a fit in Dallas because of Bledsoe.

We all saw last year that Bledsoe's biggest problem (out of many) is that he locks on to one receiver before leaving the huddle and goes almost exclusively to that player for long stretches of time sometimes multiple drives.

Owens will love that as long as it's him getting the ball, but how is he going to react when he goes an entire half running wide open without even getting a look?

I agree...they are both superstars and future hall of famers, Bledsoe however knows how to keep his ego in check while TO is a bit more 'flamboyant' in his demeanor.

I don't expect them to hang out and kick it off the field, but they definitely need to develop a better relationship than TO had with Mcnabb. ;)

You all over looking something. I'm concerned how destruction TO can be if he not getting his way, his money, media attention. He attacked his QB in SF, attacked his QB in Philly so you can count on his attacking Bledsoe unless Parcells able keep control of TO to extent TO fears repercussions from Parcells. Parcells isn't Mariachi nor Reid. If Parcells can't control TO and TO goes off on Bledsoe, I'm concerned he will play the race card & divide the lockerroom--something like that could destroy a young team. Deion tried do that with Aikman in 1995, but Cowboy players supported Aikman cause they knew it wasn't true and issue didn't affect the team. But Bledsoe doesn't have Aikman's creditability; even so think Bledsoe will hang in there for a while but the media attention will be extremely harmful.
