I am no angel and if I were Bledsoe I would be crying myself to sleep every night for blowing the best second chance a guy was ever handed. For what ever reason he couldn't stop making dumb mistakes and it cost him. Personally I think he got wacked in the head too many times and became gun shy.

But when he was asked if he wanted to go in at the end of the game yesterday and declined, I can't blame him. He is seeing the nightmare of NE all over again and muct be wondering to God, why him? Well, the bitter taste must be more than any human can take. So he sits on the bench and even if called upon, I doubt his depression would even let him play well at all.

Time to go home for good Drew. It's too bad, we would have loved to cheer you to the SB. Too bad you blew it.:cry2:

I had to leave before that. How did that happen? Was it evident and visible on screen?

He actually rejected entering the field? Wow, can you please elaborate on that!

Don't worry for Bledsoe. There is always the Raiders. All Jerry has to do is pick up the phone and call his old buddy Al.

if i'm drew at the end of the season i ask for my release then i go to every team that has a young qb and tell them for 10 mil a year i can make them into the next brady or romo.lol

Now that was just wrong. True, to true, but still wrong all the same. What was wrong u ask? the fact that my nose is now burning for the hot chocolate that laughing pushed out of it.

I wish Bledsoe could distance himself emotionally from the situations of both Dallas and New England, be completely objective and answer the following question:

"Based on your experience and time spent with the two of them, compare and contrast the football abilities and personalities of Tom Brady and Tony Romo. In your opinion, can Tony Romo reach the levels of Tom Brady?"

His honest and objective answer would be most fascinating.

I'm not saying Romo is the next Brady. I would be interested to know what Bledsoe thinks because he would be the most qualified to answer it.

he is now the backup QB. It is his job to mop up. Screw his feelings. If you don't want the backup job than say so. I would rather cut him and take my chances with Baker than have this jerk sulking on the sidelines the rest of the season.

I like Drew but I was ready to bench him in week 3. It was time.
Nothing personal, Drew is a good guy, it was just time to move on.
I'm not going to cry for Drew....he's accomplished a lot.
The guy may finish his career over 40k yards passing and two Super Bowl rings. I'd take it, even if I wasn't the starter who led the teams there.
I know he thinks he is still a starter, but so did Kurt Warner for about 4 years after he really was.
So its up to Drew, he can go to Oakland or Detroit or Minnesota or whereever, and start (until they bench him) and lose 12 games a year or he can accept a backup role for a potential champion.
I know which I would choose. Esp if I had already racked up the stats Bledsoe did.
If Drew is smart, he'll accept the backup gig here next year but I'm sure his pride won't let him.

If everything keeps going the way it is. Drew will not return. I am now wondering who will backup Tony!

i was at the indy game and romo was talking to him throughout the game. he was not sulking, he was giving advise.drew is fine. have you considered maybe, just maybe he felt romo deserved to finish the game on the field?

Things are going well.

Perhaps TOO well.

Even TO the lion has become a house-trained pup.

Human nature being what it is (can't stand prosperity) , there just has to be a resident whipping boy, does there not?

Drew Bledsoe is the obvious fall guy.

If the game were not in Dallas I could see him mopping up. However, I would not mop up while in a home game. Could you imagine if he came in and his first pass attempt he threw a pick and it got returned for a touchdown?

We have no idea why he didn't get in the game because no one has asked him.
