Time to start over was after 2019. Dak is NOT the problem, but building around him as the centerpiece is Jerruh marketing heaven through and through. I was most fearful of that being their decision making process when he was on his rookie contract. I saw him as a useful cog if the rest of the team was elite. Not a centerpiece-which is how they have structured the team ever since.

That’s what I mean Dak fans. The BUILDING of the team around Dak. That’s THE problem. Not him. Yes-goes back to Jerry. I don’t think Jerry cares too much because of the cash they have made off of it. Now plenty of the fans are calling for firing of Schotty. He is not very good, but come on guys-this team is so far from competing at the highest level. It’s so apparent. Blow the thing up. Trade Pickens and anyone 28 and older if you get good value. Act now and start the rebuild ASAP. Eagles have already begun

Schottenheimer was the change the culture HC, yet he was already here….why would we ever expect a culture change by keeping the same core group of players and promoting a coach that was already on the previous staff?

I know odds are low due to Jerry’s age but this team needs a significant shake up. I’d give Schotty the rest of the season to show some life, but if we end up an 8 win team the staff gets gutted and every player on the roster gets evaluated. No one should be safe and I’d be 100% in on fixing the defense. I don’t care if you lose a Dak, lamb, or Booker to make it happen.

Again, I've said this before, Dallas will be mediocre or poor until Jerry Jone's dies. He is the problem - his ego will not let him bring real football management in to run the team. Jerry has always been the smartest person in the room. This franchise is a train wreck with no hope. Rebuilding is not the problem - Jerry is the problem!

My thought as well.

2019? A bit too early, once we hired a slightly better coach and a decent DC we went 12-5 3 times.
And that was with Jerry being too cheap to spend in FA, shocking- I know.

But after that loss should of been a reset. Keep the guys under ~26 years old but shed the older guys.
But they literally did nothing. And it's got us 2 and looking like 3 seasons under .500 with a "win now" roster.

Unbelievable deck has limitations. You have to build a offense to fit him. And him only
Coordinators, starting with linahan k m and even shoddy, have continued. The dink and dunk or check it deep offense. Because that's all he's got. There's no sidelines, there's no deep metal, unless he has five or six seconds in the pocket. If there's any pressure he's done

While Dak is not the only problem. He's been the one consistent problem since the beginning.
Surely you see his limitations and how some DCs shut him down every time

Agreed. Every trade Jerry has made the last 3-4 years has been moronic. And yes that includes Pickens. He should have been stockpiling picks and planning for life after Dak. Actually Dak shouldn't even be on the team, but that stupid extension happened so we have to deal with it
