Blow this thing up!

Instead, here we are pushing more money down the pipe so we can win 9 games.
but you have to realize that's utterly most important thing to Jerry. being Psuedo Competitive and relevant. its not about winning. its about relevancy. he then gets the most out of media and marketing.

Yes, "blowing it up" is definitely a meaningless term. Prolly gleaned from some spewing BSPN blowhard.

Jimmy tanked by not playing the players he got from the Vikings in the Herschel trade. That is how you tank. Very strategic and led to 3 super bowl wins. Could've been 5 if Jerry would've stayed out of the way.
Now you have changed the subject. that tells me you know you're wrong. moving on.

We're talking about extending parsons... we are stuck with the highest paid QB that will never ever win. Ever! In a Qb league.
We have more holes that need repairing than NY pot holes.
Blow this whole thing up and accumulate draft picks, this circus needs to come to a end.

No it isn't meaningless either.

A team like the 49ers who in one offseason have offloaded Deebo, Ward, Hfunga, Hargrave, Collins, Banks, Mitchell, and Moore can be seen as 'blowing it up.'

What you were doing was looking over a 6 year period and acting like roster turnover was unexpected.

This is about the silliest convo I've had. Well, barring anything w/ Rocky.

How did you completely miss the point? No wonder you have to claim victory for weird little reasons.

You decided to interject into another argument. The original take was that it was an example of the Eagles blowing their team up. You doubled down on it giving an explanation of all the players the team had turned over.

I then said that looking at it over a 6 year period is nonsense given the turnover rate in a league famously called Not For Long.

Then, you are saying 'blowing it up' is a meaningless term. And then talking about something else.

It's not meaningless, you're just wrong.

It's silly because you cannot see it.

its your definition of blowing it. so fans come up with their own categories.
they let and ineffective QB go and went drafting. its not blowing it up. its upgrading a single position through elimination.
And I would argue that the removal of said type of top 5 draft pick quarterback before completing his contractual obligations is at the very foundation of what is perceived as a blowing it up scenario. Whether it's mine or an NFL General Manager's definition of blowing it up.

I believe kskboys previously termed this as the lynchpin decision and most important to the overall roster being blown up which I totally agree with. The most important position being re-set is the starting point of a blow up.

So I'll agree to disagree.

again, that's your definition. Eagles didn't blow it up. they got rid of their QB, while they still had strong players everywhere else and got lucky with Hurts. that's not blowing it up. the result was a dip and back to the top.

is it the most important position on the team? yes. does it have the most impact? yes. but blow up the whole thing? that's over exageration looking for special effects on words. very dramatic if you ask me.

and you can't just get rid of the QB without having a plan to replace it and make it better. so I haven't heard a plan? I heard top 5 pick!!! ok, this means we have to suck for a year or two, and hope there is an Allen and Herbert and not a Turbiskey coming out....not that it would be impossible, but we have to try multiple times.

now, putting Rush in there a whole season, may actually get us there.

Paying 3 players on the same team over 35 million dollars each has never been done in the NFL.

It's being blown up even as we watch

It's simply poor management.

Okay so once again,...
The triangle to success in the NFL is through proper General Managing, Head Coaching and Quarterbacking.

1, 8 or however many players does not matter when talking about the firing or replacing of ONE of the above position holders.

One of those 3 leaves and it's a whole team re-set.

That is blowing it up.

Dallas is in a perpetual purgatory based on its 3 position holders. And they keep blowing it, up or otherwise, with every QB or HC that is fired by the same incompetent GM.

Mini blow ups all the same.
They are in the middle of another one now.

A lot of people just don't wanna accept it.

I believe anytime the 31 other teams in the NFL replace their General Manager, Head Coach or starting quarterback that the entire team will need to adjust itself to a new identity/team philosophy based on whomever that new holder is and his new direction and abilities.

This total team re-set based on one of its core pieces to NFL success being replaced would be a blow up.
A total team philosophy and identity change and possibly even culture change if speaking of the 31 other teams.

Dallas is unique.
They are always in the midst of mini blowout versions of what I describe by the incompetent GM''s hiring and firings of head coaches and drafting of quarterbacks.

There's a blow up taking place now.

Just my opinion.
I can respect yours as well.

Apparently teams blow up themselves over the course of 6 years.

That of course begs the question as to what the 49ers are continuing to do this offseason. Should we call it perfect annihilation?

adjusting to a new identity is not blowing things up. blowing up would be getting rid of a lot of players, and rebuilding from scratch almost.

sorry, my opinion is getting rid of one player in one position is not blowing things up. your opinion is that's the case as you said.

so each of us has a different way of looking at the same thing

It's fun to watch them hedge their position more and more into a corner just so they do not have to admit the take is illogical.

He didn't start with what he is telling you now.
