The blowout loss to the Saints is better for this team than the almost-win against Denver.

They will have to acknowledge that their offensive approach is not working and changes should occur.

A close loss would just keep lead to Zero changes with play calling and play design.

The blowout loss might have happened at exactly the right time. With the bye week, they have time to implement significant changes to the design of the offense.

I hope they do but the players still have to execute it.

The NY game will tell us all we need to know about this team.

we haven't shown the ability to do what you say, doubt this loss changes that.

This team is on cruise control. Has been for years. Blowout , moral. Who cares. A loss is a loss.

The problem is, this coaching staff and players learn nothing from any losses.. It will be all the same after the bye.. Same old excuses, same old speech.

I totally disagree. The loss to Denver communicated that "hey we can play with anyone." The loss Sunday night communicated: "You are dog meat without a hope, or a prayer and if you try to go home your mother will deny she ever knew you."

Once you start getting players quitting...as they were...the season is all but over.

As per fixing things... Meaningful mid-season adjustments in the NFL are few and far between.

The Saints game convinced Jerry that all is required is a switch to man coverage and the return of mighty Mo. Big changes for sure.

This offense cannot be changed or improved upon. It was devised during the time of Moses and is therefore chiseled in stone.

When your quarterback moves your best playmaker at WR before the snap to take advantage of a defensive mismatch and it's considered "thinking outside the box" by your coaching staff something is wrong.

Well, we've had years of JG incompetence and noting has changed, so don't count on it...

Won't matter. With no Lee, Durant our offense will have to score 28 to contend with the Giants at home. Callahan doesn't have it in him, what's really sad is his only injury is Waters on the Oline. What's even MORE sad, is that if we hadn't gotten Waters, Callahan has his entire starting offense to work with. And still only put up 17 against N.O.

Was just thinking this. That's when I knew there was no hope. Romo didn't even check out of the play. He completely re designed the play to get Dez the ball on his only completion. Upon seeing that Callahan should've turned in his headset. I was speechless knowing that Romo had to basically treat his offense like Madden in order to get a play to work.

Yes and no. At the end of the game my biggest takeway was that we are left with a passing defense that can't stop anyone, and hasn't been able to stop anyone since 2009. But I suppose that would have been the case had we lost 49-48 as well.

I might agree, if it wasn't Garrett. He doesn't learn. Whether that is from an inability to do so, or because he's just too damn stubborn, I don't know. It's just the way it is.

Jerry thinks we just need to get Dunbar more touches. Of course, this was the same guy who thought that stripping Garrett of play calling duties and handing them over to someone even more incompetent (if that's possible) would solve something. This is the level of delusion and magical thinking we are dealing with in this organization.

Both losses were good/bad in their own right. The Denver loss was more frustrating than anything. It showed this team could hang with anyone when the offense was opened up. Even more frustrating was when they reverted back to blah for the following weeks.

NO was just another eye opener justifying what we already knew.....there are multiple problems with this team and changes are needed. The plus from that game is it should arouse Jerry's interests regarding the offense, not just the defense. Only time will tell if it comes to fruition.

I'm sure if they had any other ideas, we'd have seen them by now. :(
