I love Monoprice. Well, except some stuff. Their stuff for the most part is pretty good, or extremely awful. Most video / tech (USB, etc) cables are good, but I find their audio stuff lacking. I've bought cables or adapters for my guitar or headphones and stuff and they are terrible.

I haven't tried their USB-C cables though. Due to the extremely high standards required for USB-C, most USB cable manufacturers don't meet those standards. (which can ruin your USB-C devices) There is a guy from Google (Benson Leung) who works on USB for their new phones that does cable reviews. If you're going to buy a USB-C cable, I would make sure it's one he says is good. USB-C is much different that USB of the past.

The only audio stuff I have bought from them was some 12 gauge CL-2 rated speaker wire, and it has done a good job. However, I have heard people complain about some of their speaker wire that is not CL-2 being less thick than it should be for the gauge.

I recommend not buying any more disks. Streaming is the way of the future. That way, you aren't limited by disk types or resolutions. I mean, who actually buys CDs anymore? It's all MP3s. Video is going the same direction.

I do believe streaming is the way of the future but not until they completely upgrade our internet infrastructure where anyone can get really good internet speeds (over 300 mbps). Heck, where I live 50 mbps is the highest we can get right now. The USA is really behind a lot of other countries in internet speeds. With Google fiber pushing the other ISP's, we may soon see much higher speeds across the country and more availability. We do a lot of streaming with our service but I do wonder how well it would handle multiple streams with the ultra high quality video. At our camp at the lake (Toledo Bend) the only high speed internet we could get would be satellite or cellular (w/data charges from Verizon which is fine for lite surfing but sucks for streaming). I think disc will be around a long time.
