This was explained this year. He was wearing regular cleats they were painted to look like Louis Vuitton. Louis Vuitton doesn't have cleats. The issue was the cleats were new and not broke in.

There are plenty of players that say the nfl seems faster in the beginning and then it starts to slow down for them. It isn't anything new.

I understand, and I’m glad he feels that way. I think the analogy was correct though. The sun doesn’t move, and the game doesn’t slow down. It’s him that changed.
