Obviously the colts stayed up without sleep figuring how to exploit them both and it lead to a big day on the ground.

I have no doubt that other teams will study this blueprint to also succeed against our defense because it only makes sense, and is the only thing that has worked against them all season.

Anybody else worried about this right on the heels of the playoffs? It will be interesting seeing how Richard and Rod respond and what they are mustering up new in the film room scheme wise to get these guys off of certain blocks etc.

Never thought it would be the colts who put the cowboys in this position with the playoffs right around the corner. Playoff opponents will be lined at the copier waiting for the blueprint to come out nice and hot!

We weren’t bringing any pressure all day with our D-Line. It was depressing. It’s our D-Line that keeps these LB clean. If the qb has time he will pick us apart. And the missed tackles were something we didn’t see all year. Let’s see what happens this week before we thisnk there is a blueprint. We simple didn’t tackle or shed blocks. Looks like the Defense and whole team took the week off. The Defense wanted the Offense to carry them and the Offense wanted the Defense to do what they have been doing all year. And the ST were anything but special.

This will not be popular. But:
Maybe they interrupted the chemistry by using Lee. Maybe they should have left it alone.

I think the Colts, playing basically an elimination game. A team the won 6 of 7 games at that point. And being a very good offense, Defense finally gelling. We just got beat. I don't think they exploited or exposed anything that other teams didn't already know or see.

The first Commander game when Lee played, Vander Esch was similarly affected.

Yes very concerning. Our front seven was dominated by the Colts O-line. Every team will test the middle now. Sean Lee (Mr. Glass) is the only guy who could have stopped what they were doing but I don't think he can do it anymore. He has the mind but his body is failing him. LVE and Jaylon can't diagnose and shed that fast when it's straight at them, not yet.
Sideline to sideline they're as fast and as good as it gets

This may not be that popular and this is a fact. Had nothing to do with Lee, LVE and Jaylon were dominated straight up the middle. It started with A. Woods and Crawford being abused.

No no no. I knew somebody was gonna use that excuse. Lee barely played. Like literally. Pretty sure he had less than 10 snaps. And most of his snaps in the first half came right before the 2nd quarter ended. "Chemistry" is a very poor excuse for this defense getting beat up. People dont know what their talking about.

There's another thread that has a break down on how the Colts offense accomplished it. Some of it looked like a lack of preparation and adjustments. They had a very sound gameplan and they executed very well.

It's as if football fans dont understand how football works lmao. Pretty sure Lee getting less than 10 snaps shouldn't turn LVE into a bum. "cHeMiStRy". lmao.

Saw it already in the Eagles game, but they didn't have the rb or interior line to fully exploit it like the colts did.

See it as a inherent weakness of the 3tech placement ...and less snaps with the slb in there

Wasn't serious about it.

We just weren't tackling well. I think we missed more tackles in that one game than we had had all year combined. It was just atrocious. Combine that with absolutely no pressure on Luck who, when healthy, is a damn good QB. It was a recipe for disaster.

We can't rely on our offense to ever bail the defense out. Our defense basically has to play perfect games for us to get wins. We aren't ever going to win a shoot out. I think that's why I see limited post season success for this unit.

maybe Eberflus knows something about the Cowboys defense?

Yes he knew something and thus provided the blueprint. He knew our D- tackles were soft and that this was the best way to get to our LB's. Punch us in the mouth with the power block vs. trying to beat us with speed on the outside like the Saints did.

I attribute that success on offense more to Reich than I do Eberflus. Also more on they have a REAL good QB.
