Bo Jackson sets record straight, 40 yard dash 4.1

Lol that clown that filled in for Colin cowherd while sick tried to say Lebron was the best athlete of all time. I replied with 10 names Bo Jackson being the top.

I guess Chris Johnson should've had an on-campus timing

sub 4.1, here we come

Having said that, Bo was an absolute athletic freak if there ever was one.

Such a shame that his career was cut short, probably would be the GOAT if not.

Cut short by baseball or by injury or both? Baseball took away his young NFL years. He didn't play the year he was drafted in 1986. He was already 25 years old when he joined the Raiders in 1987. Guys usually are 21 to 23 years old when they hit the NFL. And because he split time with baseball he didn't rack up much career totals when he did play. In the 4 years he played football he totaled 2782 yards rushing. Compare that to Felix Jones with 2728 yards rushing to show how much he still had to gain to join the all-time best at the position. Even if Bo had not been injured, he would have to make up a lot of time and yards to become the GOAT.

When I said GOAT, it was in reference to overall athlete, not the NFL. I should have made that clearer. He was great in College football and pretty good at baseball at both levels. He was decent in the NFL but baseball and injury took away from gaining better stats there and age entered as you mentioned. If he would have had a better NFL career, then he would be at the top of my list(GOAT) as best athlete ever.

No doubt. One of the best all around athletes we have seen. Just an amazing combination of size and speed. He and Herschel Walker are up there.

Bo Jackson was special. An absolute freak of a physical specimen of the modern athlete. He did super-human things like run horizontally on walls. I loved it when he ran through Brian Bosworth who thought he was a human brick wall. I can easily believe he ran the 40-yard dash at a record pace.
