Bo vs Darius for 3rd RB

Everyone drooling over Bo Scarbrough, he looked slow and tired. The narrative is that he is such a bull and Alabama would have won the National Championship in '16 had he not gotten hurt. Go back and rewatch that game. He broke two big runs when he had perfect blocking. He was getting shutdown and hit in the backfield all night. He has no lateral moves and his agility is bad. He can run over defenders if he gets some momentum built up and has good top speed.

I thought 3rd stringers didn’t matter, so flip a coin. We’re talkking about the guys who blow preseason games that don’t matter here. :muttley:

Agree with DJax.

Bo, for a big guy, looks like a ballerina approaching the line with all the hesitation and tiptoeing. He really gives us nothing (including effort).

Will know more after this next game. Let them run with the 1s. We have a big drop off after our O-Line starters are out.

Last year I though Darius was a PS guy. This year I did not want them to draft a RB at that point. And always thought Bo was PS at best. And I still think that. Heck he may not even be on the PS as slow as he looks.

But Darius seems he has improved. A year between us and the Browns, his 2nd TC, he looks much better.
I have no issues with him as the 3rd RB. But I won't cry if they only keep 2 RB's plus Olawale can take some of those plays as well as Austin.

another Alabama player with a nice college career then all of sudden, is unable to play ball at the pro level....hmmmmm, wonder what is in that water there in ol' Tuscaloosa...likely not the same stuff that gets tested in the NFL??? shocking

Slow Scarsborough not gonna make this team

I think Bo ends up on the PS. And as a 7th round pick, I'm fine with that.

League is chalk-full of RB's so don't assume that there's some huge market for him.

I'm cool if Bo's on the IR bc long term I think he'll be the better back, but Darius Jackson is clearly more seasoned and outplaying him.

I prefer the thread title, "Bo vs. Jackson for 3rd rb"... just has a better ring to it. :D

But this is no more settled after Game 2 than it was after Game 1.

Just like it was a bit goofy, imo, to anoint one of the QBs as the definitive #2 after just one week.

Patience, people, patience.
