During his weekly halftime commentary, NBC’s Bob Costas criticized Commanders owner Dan Snyder and team executives for their continued refusal to consider changing the “Commanders” team name to something slightly less offensive.

I didn't realise so many teams had changed their name. Costas talks in circles and is full of crap.

The OP's quote is pretty biased. Costa's presented BOTH sides of the argument. He provided examples, and reasoning on both sides.. I don't see what was wrong with what he said.

Do I agree with name change? No.. but Costa presented something to talk about in an concise and well informed manner. Don't see why he's getting hate over it. Guy is awesome.

Did any of you actually listen to the whole thing? or just read the quotes or some highlights you found online? He wasn't harsh on Snyder or the organization at all.

Yeah, I really don't need to hear his social commentary during the game. We get it Bob, we all know what side of the political spectrum you are on.

Its a silly argument, 'oh what if there was a blackskins or brownskins or yellowskins?' Well, there isn't and never has been. If my aunt had a you know what, etc. The name honored their native American coach in the freaking 30's.
