I was very moved at her humbleness and I am sure it reflected just how Mr. Hayes would have been had he stood at the podium himself. Couldn't help but think of Hos. and the powerful posts he has put up in the weeks leading up to this. It was obvious his passion about Bob Hayes being inducted. I can remember many from this forum who were upset about Mr. Hayes not having a Headstone for his grave and taking steps to try and do something about it. Today is a good day for all of us to try and do a better job at enjoying being a fan of the Cowboys and in the bad times reflect a little more on on the good times. Hell when I became a fan the, Cowboys had not even been to a superbowl. It's obvious to some of us older guys that 24 hour television and the internet has changed the fans and the players. Bob's sister put it in perspective being so humble and appreciative. Here's to Bob Hayes and his family. Thank you sir.
I read the threads about his gravestone this week. Thought about the wonderful conversations I had with the Funeral Director and his sister. Thought about all the posters who were behind that effort and willing to donate money if I needed to collect it.
I think this one in the Hall of Fame has touched me more than any other because it was so obviously wrong that he is not there. Prior to this Rayfield Wright and Mel Renfro's inductions moved me most.
I need to send an e-mail to Chuck Howley. He's next IMO. He should be next.
I will say I feel bad for Miami Dolphins fans because Bob Kuechenberg should be in long before now too, and he still isn't in. That is wrong.
