Peters had more than one serious confrontation with members of coach Chris Petersen's staff in Seattle before his dismissal. In interviews with 15 teams, Peters came across as a head-strong individual who isn't comfortable dealing with authority.

"We had him in for a visit and it was just his mannerisms and his interaction, or non-interaction," said one personnel man. "What a joke. He's going to have inconsistency on the field and off the field. I don't know if it's an authority complex, a trust level. But what he does isn't what everybody else is doing."

Peters is said to be very close with his cousin, Marshawn Lynch, the Seahawks' hard-to-manage running back. Scouts have compared him to Percy Harvin, the combustible wide receiver who is with his fourth team.

"Even the day I was there he got in a screaming match with a coach," another personnel man said. "I don't know if there's anything off the field. I'm just worried about him as a person."

Asked if he thought Peters could function within the tight framework of an NFL team, one scout said. "He'll have to. He'll change because he's getting paid now."

Man, this has been my guy all along. I think he is the most talented corner in the draft, but that is some serious baggage and definitely not RKG. I guess I have around 36 hours to find someone else...

Agreed.

While Peters is a great talent, I'm thinking that KJ is the better pick.

It's a difficult decision on guys like Peters. He is volatile on the field also, but a little of that is good. Claiborne and Carr could use a little more attitude. I don't know if Peters has the patience required to play zone. He likes to get up in the WRs face and go from there.

The Cowboys already have the same guy:
(It's amazing how many highlight video are on youtube of this one player)

No way.........McFadden may have the same "straight line speed" but not the same acceleration. Also McFadden is a very long stride runner something that while Tevin has been said to be is just not true. He might run a little upright but he is not a long strider until it is time for him to do so once he breaks into the open. People around here need to understand that McFadden is purely an emergency backup plan if we don't get a good back in the draft.

McFadden is a long strider. He needs a couple of step before getting hit to be successful. That's why he was limited in Oakland. He was constantly being hit in the backfield and his style is not the best for that situation. With good blocking or with the Cowboys zone scheme allowing him to already be moving before having to accelerate though the hole, he will be really good. It is a perfect fit for him.

Coleman is a long strider also, but he is able to shorten his first few steps which allows him to deal with pressure in the backfield a little better, but once on the move he has a similar long stride to McFadden.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Coleman is basically a younger version of McFadden, which is one of the reasons he is not one of my most favorite backs in this draft.

You left out what ability Coleman has that McFadden doesn't!

Well, McFadden is as good as it gets in Pass Pro, so it's not that.

Coleman is not great as run through contact so it's not that.

Coleman is not faster, so it' not that.

Maybe Coleman is better at playing Madden?

Was Coleman basically the main Running Back or was he part of a running back by committee like McFadden was in College with Felix Jones and Peyton Hillis?

Has McFadden played through injuries and still produced like Coleman did in the second half of his college season?

Has Coleman had the chance to prove, or disprove, himself in the NFL like McFadden has had?

Has McFadden had the ability to turn a Marcus Peters thread into something else like Coleman has the ability to do? :p

I agree that man-to-man is where he should earn his money, but he is a very very good cover-3 corner too, because of his amazing breaking ability and instincts. His "off zone" work looks almost as good on tape as his press man coverage.

I can't either. I do not want the Cowboys to draft him especially in the 1st. I think he has too many off field issues to manage.
