I'm wondering if we can play him at SLB like Denver does with Von Miller.

I was thinking the same. Watching tape of his combine makes me think that his natural position is linebacker not DE. He sure looks as quick and agile as any linebacker in the NFL for sure.

If they kept him at that weight and played him like Von Miller, I'd be more than ok with that move.

Listen to his interview on dallascowboys.com. He's very well spoken. Clearly a smart guy.

Agreed. He has a mature approach to his being immature in the past. He has set out to change that. I was a believer after his interview.

This is a tremendous pick, something obviously needs to be addressed with him, but if he can straighten out....Maranelli is going to have another Ferrari in his garage to test drive.

The interview was very impressive. He considers himself a high-character player who made a serious mistake. He's pretty driven to make up for it, too. Fun to hear.

I hadn't watched any clips of Gregory at all but when they said he could drop to 27 I did. My impression was that he didn't overwhelm me and I was pretty mehh on him as the pick at 27. At 60 I love the pick though, and I think he will be a great situational pass rusher for Marinelli's scheme immediately.

I kind of had the same impression last year about Anthony Barr of UCLA, good player but probably not worth the draft slot. I was wrong on Barr, he was worth a top 10 draft spot and the Cowboy scouts did like him. Does anyone who watched a lot of tape have any comparisons between Barr and Gregory?

I completely agree with this. He needs to be put in a position he can excel at. He gets pushed around a lot on the line.

Willie McGinest said he was up to 246-248 when he worked out with him.

I'm hoping the 228 was a typo. Going from around 250 to 230 in a few weeks would be a crazy amount of weight to have lost that quickly.
