Is he in or out for this game?

He was listed as questionable before the NE game and he played....and played well. But, he had practised at least once that week. AFAIK, he has not practised at all this week, and talk is that he will not play.

That will be a big plus for the Cowboys. He is a solid player, but he's also a leader and the entire defense plays better when he's on the field. Rumor has it that the Colts don't want to take the chance of aggravating his knee on a non-division game.

Who really knows in these days of 3 page injury lists?

FWIW, Stokley is probably out also.

their injury list is so long...Like 8 guys for Questionable

There are only a handful of players that truly are injured.

Dungy is taking a page out of the Belichick handbook for injury reporting, which basically states declare half your team "questionable".

Coach Parcells believes Sanders will play and he probably will. Stokley and Brackett are the only other injuries of any significance.

I loved him at Iowa and could pull up a draft thread or two here saying why. Loved his game that was at least a half foot bigger than his frame...his energy, smarts, stamina, and willingness to 'engage'.

But til this week I had no idea Sanders had become so popular among your fan base. I read some articles in your press this week and he seems to be regarded every bit as highly as #31 is here.

You got a player to be proud of in him, for sure.

It was 32 listed as injured, wasn't it, before the Pats game? :laugh2:

Sanders is a HUGE fan favorite in Indy. We call him "Hitman". The biggest problem seems to be his size. The guy goes 150% everytime he steps on the field and hits guys who are much bigger than he is like a Mack truck. He has no "go easy this time" switch. Consequently, he gets hurt....a LOT.

I think management is frustrated with this knee injury. He had arthroscopic surgery over a month ago, and the knee seems to continue to swell and cause pain. I don't think wild horses could have kept him out of the NE game, but it seems that they'll hold him out this week and continue to wait-and-see.

This is the list:
58 Brackett, Gary Linebacker Questionable Hamstring 42 David, Jason Defensive Back Questionable Calf 71 Diem, Ryan Offensive Tackle Questionable Calf 20 Doss, Mike Defensive Back IR Knee 81 Fletcher, Bryan Tight End Questionable Ankle 43 Giordano, Matt Defensive Back Questionable Calf 96 Goddard, Johnathan Defensive End IR Foot 25 Harper, Nick Defensive Back Questionable Knee 26 Hayden, Kelvin Defensive Back Questionable Knee 27 Jennings, Tim Defensive Back Questionable Ankle 65 Lilja, Ryan Offensive Guard Questionable Knee 92 McFarland, Anthony Defensive Tackle Questionable Elbow 85 Moorehead, Aaron Wide Receiver Questionable Low Back 23 Mungro, James Running Back IR Knee 53 O'Neil, Keith Linebacker Questionable Ankle 90 Reagor, Montae Defensive Tackle Out Head 21 Sanders, Bob Defensive Back Questionable Knee 97 Simon, Corey Defensive Tackle Non-Football Illness/Injury 83 Stokley, Brandon Wide Receiver Questionable Knee 91 Thomas, Josh Defensive End Questionable Ankle

Of the significant players, Brackett, David, Fletcher, Harper, McFarland will probably play.

Doss, Mungro, Reagor, Sanders, Simon and Stokley will not.

IMO.

He had a nice game vs the Pats....what was it, 10 or 12 tackles? Cracks me up to see him take down a guy the size of Maroney.

Love the player, and hope he recovers for next week's game...but as you pointed out, a player who's barely 5'8" and 200 pounds and hits like Sanders is going to be missing some time...

Here's to a good game tomorrow - one which I expect will go down to the wire, with a Dallas win. The malaise creeping up on you last week vs the Bills....the Cowboys are better suited to exploit it.

The guy who does the site, football injuries.com ( or something like that) was on SIRIUS today and said he has confirmed that Sanders will NOT play against Dallas. He does their fantasy football show on Fridays and seems to have good contacts and reliable info. Take it for what its worth.

You could be right. I don't take any game for granted this year with the Colts. They seem to rise or fall to the level of their opponent. They played two great back to back away games against NE and Denver, and then barely beat the Bills and Titans. Go figure.
