I hope more teams are dumb enough to leave both of their corners covering our tight ends split out wide when we have both of our wide receivers in tight. There's nothing better than having BOTH of your wide receivers covered by nobody but linebackers and safeties.
I'm surprised they didn't call a time out.

The beauty is, they can put the safties or LB's on the TE's....but they'll get beat. And if the defense goes into 4 CB packages for coverage purposes, and the Cowboys go run, it'll be a mismatch because both Witten and Bennett are way too much for CB's to handle in blocking.

Looking forward to seeing how the Giants try to defense this.

And if they do go coverage heavy, or pull the LBs/Safeties out on the TEs, you audible to a run and there you are. I love the way that formation lined up. I guarantee the bucs players were scared out of their minds, especially when we overloaded the right.

I actually hope they outsmart themselves and bring in a nickel/dime defense when they see the 12 set come out.

Call something tight and ram it down their throats with a seven man OL! :laugh2:

It's pick your poison. Even if the teams bring their CB's inside, you still have LB's or Safeties having to account for Witten and Bennett on the end, which is just as bad. I love that formation!

That was great!

It will be interesting to see how the 2te wide formation develops. It seems to make sense, if they bring in more DB's or move their safeties wide you can attack the middle with the pass or the run.

It will be a challenge for them to handle things coverage-wise. They are short in the DB department and their linebackers are not very good in coverage (this is one reason they got Boley in the first place).

Before getting too excited, there is one minor detail. The Giants are 100 times better at rushing the QB than Tampa Bay and more than likely, we will see Witten and/or Bennett held in a lot to help in protection.

On the nosey. Best defense against any offense. They are loaded up front.

I agree, that was a clinic in how to report on football.

First, let me say this, the report that Bob reported and wrote was excellent for us as fans to read and see how the team operated, and scored.

My question is this to the fans of the dallas cowboys, hostile, woodysgirl, and others. Isnt this at the same time giving full breakdown on our team. Don't other team fans visit this board like skins fans, eagle fans and giant fans.

Wouldnt they be saying oh goody, they are exposing the cowboys plays to us, now we can report this to our team, so we can beat them?

I am not trying to say that I am knocking the report, was a beauty to see. Like Hostile said a clinic on football covering the cowboys. Yet, doesnt that expose the cowboys. Yeah, I know that teams view their own films of teams etc. But what if in that report is something that the opposing team missed in their scouting the cowboys, and that report brings to light some way to attack the cowboys. Wouldnt that be hurting the cowboys instead?

Wouldnt it be better to find writers that expose their team, like the giant writers, or the eagle writers, or the Commander writers?

So, in a small way, i challenge other cowboys fans to find breakdown on writeups of opposing teams like bob did on our team.

Just a thought that I had.

It doesn't matter cowboyjoe. All the teams we face will have game tape on us and they will be doing the same thing Bob just did. It is hard to hide the fact that we had Martellus and Jason split out wide and in the slot. They know what we did on Sunday the only thing now is to hope that Garrett and the offense can adjust to what ever the Giants do to attack the "12" formation.

Oh, and congratulations on mastering the quote function!!!

I'd like to see the video of Barber's TD run from the time they break the huddle til the play ends. IIRC Romo motions something to Barber in the backfield pre snap... Any one have this?

I agree one can say that on the Crayton TD because of the pump fake, However on the other two they were just well designed plays executed to perfection.

What a great report that was! It explained it so that everyone could understand why Bennet is going to make this offense great.

Too bad we suck and are going 7-9 because we don't do everything right. Too bad, wasted effort.

They'll break it down a lot further than Bob did. For the most part, Bob merely broke down personnel groupings. NFL teams will break down every play by personnel (both by position and by specific players), formation and game situation, and they'll know the tendencies in every combination of those.

I really like the Austin throw and catch because that was a timing throw all the way

and I severely detest the long-developing, outside comeback route that we seemingly love to run

so more of that on the sideline would be a much welcome change
