Summary and Potential Fit For the Cowboys: This is a real prospect to get excited about and to dig heavily into his material. He seems to have all of the tools and a set of intangibles that have coaches raving positively on his behalf. He is big, mobile, confident in all throws, able to manipulate coverage with his eyes, healthy, and competitive. You might beat him, but he won't stop coming at you. For a guy who was unranked and unrecruited (1 offer) out of high school, he has really turned himself into something.
If I am Dallas and he is available for selection, after doing this study I am left with 2 conclusions - although so much can change and so many others must be considered, first. 1) I absolutely would be excited to leave this draft with a prospect as good as Lynch and 2) I would want 12-24 months of not having to play him, if possible. I believe he is going to be a very impressive pro, but I would like to buy as much time as possible to prepare and develop him for the incredibly hot seat he would assume in Dallas after Tony Romo.

Yeah, which is why this is an ideal situation. These QBs need time on the bench. We don't need them to start right away.

We are perfectly positioned to avoid a gap between one franchise QB to the next and we'll still end up screwing this up.

With the 4th pick in the 2016 NFL Draft the Dallas Cowboys select, cornerback...

Did he say quarterback?!....TELL ME HE SAID QUARTERBACK!!

He reminds me of Drew Bledsoe with his movement and wind up but not stationary like Bledsoe.

I can be pretty happy man if we can get Goff or Lynch at 4 and have either develop over next 1-2 yrs.

This who I would take at 4, and sitting 12-24 moths is ideal, but if Romo goes down with an extended period of time, I can see Lynch playing his rookie year. No matter who they throw out there at QB, it's proven that this team can't win without Romo, so why not the rookie.

Love that Lynch is 6'7", but has really good mobility. Really impressive qb prospect imo.

There is no can't miss prospect, never mind QB, in this draft. If RG3 was coming out in this draft he would the unquestioned #1. How does Johnny Manziel's college career/draft prospect stack up against Goff, Lynch, Cook and Wentz?

Taking a QB with 4th overall pick is a bad move. Stinks of desperation.
