Bobby Carpenter...

Spencer makes way way way more plays, and gets more consistent pressure though. Anyone that watches the game sees that. Only stat junkies would think Carp is better.

I don't think Carp is better than Spencer.

I just find it hilarious that Carpenter has more sacks than Spencer. Its great stuff.

I don't think I have to really say anything here... :banghead:

Next season, he better not be wearing a Dallas Cowboys uniform.

Am I missing something here? I did not watch that game and come away what is wrong with Carpenter. We have way more issues right now...mainly with the offense.

What specific play did he miss?

Carpenter caused none of the offensive problems, and maybe a few of the defensive problems. Dallas didn't lose because of Carpenter.

It's old seeing how he plays. That is what folks are harping on. Nobody said Dallas lost because of Carp, but it is OBVIOUS he is not a physical guy.

Sad part is... for as soft as Carp is.

He has more sacks on the season as a sub package player than Spencer (full time starter).
:fact:

Right.

It doesn't matter which play. He can have 10 great plays, but 1 bad one. And this type of thread will be the result of that.
You will not see a thread on his good plays.

Many of our players missed plays and tackles and catches today. But only Carpenter gets his own hate thread.

He's good for at least one big play against the defense per game in 3rd and long. Either a big run to his side or a screen to his side it seems.

Name 10 great plays Carpenter has made period. You can use his entire career to search for examples for your answer.

I can find a lot more to harp on than the play of Carpenter which albeit not physical enough is more than adequate as the nickel linebacker. We get better play there this year than last. If he could pick up the physical part of his game some then I'd be happy with him next year in the same role.

We can do better at the position although there is not presently anyone on the team that can do that.

This guy is taking valuable snaps from Jason Williams who has a chance to be something someday. Barbie is all he will ever be, and that aint much.

I would love to sit down and ask Big Bill what he saw in Barbie that made him think he could play in the NFL.

His last name, and that is probably actually a big part of it, IMHO.

how did he make it to the NFL with his sissyness and fear of contact?

BP was probably just doing the family thing since Barbie's dad played for him
