..if I recall had one or two tackles that caused punts, and two fumble recoveries?

Not bad for a bust.

Bobby had a big night and all the people in the section I was in would go just absolutely crazy when he did something good, like on those two fumble recoveries, cause of how much hatred that guy always gets from fans.

Good to see him have a great night.

yeah he had a tackle on a running play of all things, lol

seems to play well in playoff games huh

Maybe some Brooking will rub off on him.

Hopefully confidence gained from first meaningful playing time will cause the light to go on.

if wade can turn bobby into a player he is legendary coach

BC has turned into a player. He's a keeper now IMO.

It took Bradie James 3 years before he became a player.. Spencer was a Bust for 2 years.. Some guys take time to develop.. I'm not saying Bobbie C. is a all pro but some people just have agenda's around here..

He has certainly gotten better over the course of the season. He's now a decent nickle LB.

he had a VERY good game vs Seatle in the Playoffs, but as I recall was invisible vs the Giants in the playoffs but I also think he did not get in except for ST. So maybe it takes a playoff game to get him going.

I told my buddies, if carp is playing well then the eagles are in big trouble. When your weak link plays well it makes you that much tougher to beat.

Carp was in coverage on Celek a lot last night too, and he did a great job in coverage for the most part. In fact, there were some pretty nifty turnaround moves Celek put on him and he was right there with him. I was impressed with his coverage more than him falling on loose balls.

Yeah this is something I've noticed. Bobby Carpenter is actually playing pretty well in coverage these days.

Bobby Carpenter showed me tonight that he MIGHT be able to play a little bit.

If he can keep up that level of play, maybe he deserves a roster spot moving forward.

I "ve been ragging on Carpenter all year long, he seems to look lost most of the time and he is always 1 or 2 seconds late on every play but last night he made plays. He hit people, and he covered well, so Bobby you had a great game. I don't think he is a weak link, but he pretty much has been a bust maybe last night will change that.

Hats off to BC. He has been a disappointment overall, but he stepped up last night. I hope it becomes a trend.

No longer a bust, I've said for years he is unworthy of a first round pick, but if he produces like this he is worthy of a 1st round pick. Couple of years late though

I agree with you! You have to give players a chance to learn

...for us to be talking so glowing about Carpenter is really a plus on the opinion of the state of this team.

He's ony a bust/disappointment relative to his draft status. if was drafted in the late second or third, he'd never have these expectations. Yes, I will agree he was probably drafted too high. But the fact that he's been in the league for a few years now and has shown signs, and made some plays (though maybe not ALOT over that four years) I cannot label him a bust.

Now had he spent the last couple years riding the bench, or even not in the league then maybe he's a bust.
