I don't think people understand how stock our linebacker corps is right now.

I don't think they understand how good Ayodele and James are/can be. Bradie James had 93 tackles and 2.5 sacks last year. Akin Ayodele had 70 tackles last year, and 92 the year before it. 4.5 sacks in the last two years.

Akin Ayodele is 6-2, 246 lbs.
Bradie James is 6-2, 250 lbs.

DeMarcus Ware had 58 tackles last year, and will probably get so much more next year. He played at 255 last year, and is 6-4.

Carpenter is 255 lbs and 6-3 . 14.5 career sacks from the strong side linebacker position in college. 8 sacks in his last year. Isn't the pass rusher Ware is, but has real potential to add as a threat on the outside. More so than Singleton anyways.

actually akin has broken 100 tackles for the past 4 years bud, hes better than james and probably about as good as Dat was. this guy can ball, you will cry when you get to see him play in :starspin.

What's not to like. Our D-line will rotate guys all game and wear YOU down. Our LB's will come at you in waves and shut you down. Our DB's include 2 shut down CB's, one of the best SS in the biz and now a ball hawk FS.

Then you limp off the field only to punt to........Skyler Green. :laugh2:

great post lane, and one scout said that Carpenter was the best pass-rusher out of him, Lawson and Wimbley, and that his speed within the 1st 10 yards is outstanding, plus his size and strength, ability to take on and disengage blocks...oh boy, I'm excited, wake me up when September begins

too bad Zimmer is our D-coordinator though, "we could have a pro bowler at every position and still Zimmer..."
