Another guy that I've only seen mentioned maybe a few times here that seems like he would be a great fit for Marinelli's scheme.

CBS and ESPN both have him ranked as a 7th but both sites have 0 to say about him as well. NFL.com however, gave him a 5.68 grade which ranks him 14th among all d lineman (slightly ahead of Hardison and Wright). NFL.com even went as far to compare him to Jerel Worthy...http://www.nfl.com/draft/2015/profiles/bobby-richardson?id=2552677

6'2 283 with 34 5/8" arms and 11 inch hands with + athleticism and agility. Sounds like a perfect guy to wreak havoc on interior lineman as a pass rusher to me. Also can play some base end and his even showed the ability to dip around OT's. He will definitely need work (stands straight up out of his stance way too often), but I see a lot of potential and versatility here. His draft stock is kind of a mystery to just because CBS and ESPN haven't updated at all it seems, but if he's there in the 5th I would definitely have to consider him.

One player from the combine worked out -- Bobby Richardson (6-foot-2 3/4, 294 pounds). Richardson ran a 4.99 and 5.01 in the 40. He had a 31 1/2-inch vertical and a 9-2 broad jump. And he threw the bar up 21 times.

Richardson is a defensive lineman, and he looked good in defensive line drills, but I think he has the dimensions of a player who could move over to playoffensive lineman. He's got long arms (33 1/4 inches) and big hands (11 1/8 inches), which are good reasons to at least try him out on offense

I have wondered some about him. I haven't really taken the time to look at him very much but his athleticism is intriguing.

I agree with you that he looks like a guy Marinelli could take and mold in to something. Good thread.

Saw that too...interesting but I don't see anybody else suggesting this or that's its even a possibility. The long arms would be intriguing but he'd have to add a bunch of weight and he'd be way more of a project there than at DT.

Good find. He is one of those guys that the media draft analysts are overlooking for whatever reason (i.e. Anthony Hitchens). I doubt if NFL teams are overlooking him.

There is more video here: http://draftbreakdown.com/video/bobby-richardson-vs-indiana-state-2014/

That dawgs analysis was presented really well with all of the gifs and whatnot, but they are off on their conclusions. The analysis sounds like somebody that has been reading up on the theory of defenses but has not really spent that much time watching game footage. You don't take on the top OL in this draft and do well if you are constantly "too high" as they claim. He is a bit of a high cut guy which makes him "look" like he is too high. His body is somewhat upright at times but leverage is about the relationship of the hips to the knees/feet and his is good. In the gif where the ball is a run to the other side they say that the OT owned him, but in reality he has to go backwards in order to go sideways when being blocked. The angle to the opposite side on an outside run is a 45 degree angle backwards and over. You don't try to run straight down the line on that play. The OT did delay him a bit, but was far from owning him.

His main issue is that he plays a bit out of control. In that short clip he tackled the guy without the ball twice.

My first time watching this Bobby Richardson, but I really like him.

He looks really strong in that game, and the consistency with which he shed those blocks is amazing. Looks like he's got good technique with his hands, but needs to slow down a bit and keep his eyes on the ball a bit better.

I'd love to have this guy on the team, esp as a steal in the middle rounds.

A potential 4th round "reach" pick a la Hichens. I'd be fine with it. This guy early on will be able to affect the pocket inside with his long arms, movement and athleticism. Assuming he gains functional strength as he fills out some, you're looking at a potential starting 3T down the road.
