I don't understand how the Rams are able to sign Odell Beckham, Von Miller and all that other talent, but we can't get one decent FA. Maybe if they pooled that money they would normally spend on mid tier talent, they could actually get a star.
Not to mention they have/had first round picks in forever. Always amazing how other teams work the cap so easily

I would love to get excited about a potential Wagner signing and pairing with Parsons, but knowing how our FA operates, it's more likely we don't pursue him but get some budget linebacker from somewhere.

No idea what it would cost but he'd be a great addition. He locks down the middle and then you can really move Parsons all over the place. Would help our middling DTs as well.

Wagner allows us to waive Dlaw and move Micah down to the edge full-time in more of a 3-4 look
Improving the defense takes pressure off Dak with no Cooper. We can also let Vander Esch sign somewhere else.

If we're going to cut Dlaw and Cooper we have the cap space to sign most everyone back plus Wagner.

Wagner would instantly make the defense better and it would make a lot of sense.....which means the Cowboys won't do it. Too rich for their blood. Only if you are a FA coming off an injury or a poor season will you be qualified to receive a pittance from Stevie. He says they won't leave no stone unturned. Sometimes you gotta just leave those stones where they are.
