The exact same thing my son and I said when they announced this series the other night.

We are high quality animation lovers.

It's not meant to be high quality but stylistic. If you watch any of the adult swim animated shows, they all are trendy , not mainstream and pretty crazy looking. I am pretty sure this show is from the makers of Home Movies, which was a bad non-funny animation on adult swim.

But I tend to like the artsy insane stuff, this is not one of those.

BTW really high quality animation can be found in a lot of anime.

I gave the show a chance and I liked it. It was a good start, I thought. Definitely some really funny moments. It can be difficult to determine how good a show will be from the pilot though. It could get worse and it could get better. I certainly never would have watched the first episode of King of the Hill or the Simpsons and imagined that they would become as ridiculously entertaining as they were in their primes.
