Haven't seen one of these threads for a while. So here we go.

Bold Predictions for the Giants game, as well as the season.

Defense will hold Barkley to 42 yards rushing and 6 receptions for 22 yards.
Defense will have 9 sacks. NY tabloids roasts Eli yet again with a dumb face photo. Well ok, that part is not all that bold.
Dak throws for 5 TD's, Philly fans want to trade for Dak, as Wentz throws 5 pick 6 sixes.

For the season.
Zeke is at 1999 yards, and Jason wants to sit him, but Jerry says no, I am paying Zeke $25 million. a year, he plays. And I want him to get 2000 yards.
Dak is in the running for MVP, but the fix is in for Brees to win it.
Dallas gets HFA for the playoffs with a 13-3 record, by virtue of beating both the Saints and Rams, who finishes 12-4.

If it weren't for Garrett i'd have this team playing the Chiefs in the Superbowl. I think we have an elite roster with some quality depth.

Since we do have Garrett I think the Saints will probably end up representing the NFC in the Superbowl and Brees might retire after the season.

What could change my opinion a little is if somehow Kellen Moore is legit and Garrett stays as far away from X's and O's as possible and he is just completely relegated to clapping and using NFL Cliche's.

Game 1 vs Giants
Cowboys win
Saquon 60 rushing yards 45 rec yards 2tds

LVE pick 6 to win game.
Jaylon Smith All Pro performance thousand tackles and Defense QB is born ala Ray Lewis

Season Prediction 13-3 Superbowl Loss to Chiefs..Mahommes sign a $45 million a year deal with $120 million guarantee. Makes Daks midseason contract look anemic

Morning coffee lol buzzing

Mine is the Defense gets three turnovers and Pollard, with Zeke playing, gets 150 total (key word total) yards

Cowboys win the SB, Kellen Moore is the hot topic around the whole sports world, Jerry fires Garrett and promoted Moore to HC to lock him up long term.

Maliek charges out of the gates with a 3 sack performance against the G-men.

He finishes the year with 12.5 sacks.

Here is my bold prediction. This game is a lot closer than most think. The fact that the line is 7 is shocking to me. Dallas is home and the Giants should be terrible this season. That line is begging you to take the Cowboys. The Giant OL is improved. I think they will run the ball well. Barkley is a monster back. The Zeke circus will be a distraction as he doesn't know the new playbook and is out of football shape. Despite that Dallas will continue to feed the ball to him. I see a Zeke turnover and the fans getting ugly. It would not shock me if this game is decided late. Dallas will likely win because they are home and have the better players overall. The Jason Garrett effect will be in play as they will look like they are playing in quicksand from time to time.

For the giants game:

Fans will love Kellens playcalling
Dak runs for a TD and throws a TD
Gallup will be the leading WR and have a TD
Witten will look like the weakest link
Pollard will shine if he starts
Defense will be mvp
Maher will miss a kick
Giants will only score FG's, no TD
Cowboys win 31-9

Xavier Woods is considered a top 8 safety and will have at least 5 INTs
Amari plays less than 10 games
Jarwin outsnaps Witten
Quinn isnt in the top 3 in sacks on the team
Lewis is traded mid-season(unfortunately)
Three players currently on the PS see time on the 53(not including Chunn)

Thanks - it’s getting harder and harder to get these kind of thread discussions, lol .

- If this defense can somehow manage to hold Barkley to those kind of numbers, and eliminate the chunk plays (run after catch or over the top) from the likes of Sheppard, Ingram or Barkley or Latimer , make Eli have to beat you methodically chain by chain, we have a good chance to win this game.
Sacks and the big turnovers are in Eli’s game, and so long as they insist on going with him rather than rookie Daniel Jones, that’s fine with me.

- I’d really like to score TDs early and get out to a big lead that forces Gmen to throw more with Eli.. than run with Barkley. I’d rather chance Eli’s errand throws than Barkley’s 66 yard TD runs.

- The Giants don’t have an feared imposing war daddy upfront in their front seven to be that worried anymore – and they don’t have the cover men to handle guys like Cooper and Gallup

- This team needs to prove it can get the sacks - and get the turnovers.
As we will have to face top QBs the likes as Rodgers, Brees, Brady, Ryan, etc. - and I’m looking to sacks as a group unit than just depending upon that one rush guy.
Quinn, Maliek, Armstrong, etc. Do we get rush production from guys like those ? (Man, if we can get that 10+ sacks from Quinn opposite Dlaw..!!)

- The worry point is this team taking the Giants so lowly and likely, that we ‘re not motivated to playing up to our competitive edge. That’s when you have flat games that could cause you a surprising upset loss. Hoping this being an season opener, we don’t take on that mentality on the first game.

If Zeke plays Dallas wins a close game 27-24. If Zeke does not play Dallas may lose the opener 14-17. Dallas starts out the year either losing to the Giants or at Commanders. Dallas finishes the year 9-7. Not bad.... but not what most people on this board are thinking.

Maher misses 1 very easy FG at the end of a game to cost Dallas a game this season.

Amari Cooper does not get to a 1,000 yards.

Zeke and Zach Martin both get injured this season.

Tyron still has his back issues.

Prescott signs an extension in the off-season for $27,000,000 a year.

Garrett is let go. Dallas signs some stud college coach.

Gallup has a pretty good season.... if only Prescott could hit him in stride.

Witten does very little to help. And retires again after the season.

Dallas does not make the playoffs.

Cobb plays well until he gets injured.

The pass rush is good. But the lack of beef in the middle and the safety play will cost Dallas again this year.

Haven't seen one of these threads for a while. So here we go.

Bold Predictions for the Giants game, as well as the season.

Defense will hold Barkley to 42 yards rushing and 6 receptions for 22 yards. DOABLE, BUT PROBABLY A LITTLE MORE IN THE 80-90 TOTAL YARDAGE RANGE. OR HE COULD GO FOR 240 & REST OF THE GNATS CONTRIBUTE 24.
Defense will have 9 sacks. NY tabloids roasts Eli yet again with a dumb face photo. Well ok, that part is not all that bold. 9, NOW THAT IS BOLD. I WILL GO WITH 4-5.
Dak throws for 5 TD's, Philly fans want to trade for Dak, as Wentz throws 5 pick 6 sixes. IF DAK THROWS 5, I'LL BE VERY SHOCKED.!!

For the season.
Zeke is at 1999 yards, and Jason wants to sit him, but Jerry says no, I am paying Zeke $25 million. a year, he plays. And I want him to get 2000 yards. TOTAL YARDS? MAYBE. RUSHING YARDS, NO WAY. POLLARD IS GOING TO GET HIS YARDS TOO.
Dak is in the running for MVP, but the fix is in for Brees to win it. CAN'T IMAGINE A SCENARIO WHERE DAK IS A LEGIT CONTENDER FOR THE MVP. JUST NOT WHO HE IS AS A PLAYER.
Dallas gets HFA for the playoffs with a 13-3 record, by virtue of beating both the Saints and Rams, who finishes 12-4.
POSSIBLE. THEN ITS ALL ON GARRETT NOT TO LOSE A HOME PLAYOFF GAME ....

The Zeke circus will be a distraction
I would think that but the entire team seems to believe in Pollard & the changes offensively. I think they are focused on executing and showing people they aren't dependent on one or two "stars".

If Zeke plays Dallas wins a close game 27-24. If Zeke does not play Dallas may lose the opener 14-17. Dallas starts out the year either losing to the Giants or at Commanders. Dallas finishes the year 9-7. Not bad.... but not what most people on this board are thinking.

yeh, I still have concerns that this kicking situation is going to cost us a game or two, .. that could be the difference between winning the NFC east or losing home field advantage in playoffs.
but unless he goes on a horrid streak where he has several bad game streaks, I think Cowboys are so infatuated with Brett Maher's incredible leg strength that can boom in 55- 59 yard FGs
and they see that as an extra weapon.

But the same booming leg can also miss some easier 30+ FGs and extra point attempts. Stay tune.

I will throw in one more. If Pollard gets 10 carries, he breaks at least one for at least 40 yards.
