Bold prediction: Zeke 2,500 total yards

I suspect a 2,500 yard season is more possible if we go with lots of 3 and 4 receiver packages. Spread it out and run from that.

A number of guys with +2,400 yard seasons did so from open offenses:
2011 Saints...Sproles 2,696 yards
1985 Chargers...Lionel James 2,535
1999 Rams...Faulk.. 2,429 yards

I think with the passing options you have now, his receiving numbers will go up, but maybe at the expense of some carries. They may stack more in the box this year.

I would go 2000 combined 1400 and 600. 2500 is a 1500 rushing season AND a 1000 yard receiving season. Cmon now.

That’s all purpose yards. Unless Zeke is returning kicks now.

I just about spit out my drink when I saw Sproles at 2,700 yards for a season. I was astonished that I could have completely forgotten a legendary season in an otherwise criminally mediocre career. Luckily, I haven't lost it: Sproles had 1,313 yards from scrimmage in 2011 and never topped more than 900 in his other 11 seasons.

I can't think of a more meaningless stat than all purpose yards including KRs and PRs. Carry on folks....

I want to see 2K rushing from Elliott. If they stack the box he needs to hit home runs. He is supposed to be a home run hitter.

With the departure of Witten, and the unproven WR group, I believe we will be leaning extremely heavily on Zeke. I am betting on 2,500 total yards (rushing + catching).

Not a chance. We leaned on him heavy in 2016 and he didnt sniff that. The receiving yards are what seem way off. Unless he is going to catch more than 30 balls.

At least the first part of the year EVERYONE is going to stack extra heavy against him, NOT fearing Dak and the receivers. We will have to make them pay early if Zeke has ANY chance of getting over 2000 combined.

No its not possible

If I’m not mistaken, that hasn't been done since Chris Johnson about 10 seasons ago.
In fact, I think he might be the ONLY player in NFL history todo it?

VERY tall order and usually requires a ton of 60-70 year TD runs

Never say never though
:flagwave:

True. Most of the guys who posted +2,400 yards had lots of return yardage.

This one surprised me:
Danny Amendola 2010, 2,364 yards

But true, 3/4 of this is return yardage.

T-RO
You are using return yards here.
He is talking rushing and receiving yards...or true yards from scrimmage.
Sproles’ best season was only about 1300 yards
Amendola’s was only 770.

Chris Johnson is the only back to do it as a true runni g back from scrimmage
Marshall Faulk and L. Tomlinson also got close.

It won't happen unless they start throwing to him. 30 catches a year ain't gonna cut it and there isn't a reason they shouldn't be using him more in the passing game.

I’ll post $10 and you give me 200-1 odds.

Amazing. YOu say its likely to happen and now you want 200-1 odds? I guess you really dont think it will happen after all. LOL

Bets on here are stupid as people never pay. But Ill bet you an embarrassing signature no problem.

Huh? I was the first to respond to the OP and wrote this:
“I wouldn’t take the bet on it..but it’s possible.”

Possible ≠ Probable

You are the one who said, “Never. No chance.”

I knew you wouldn’t give me 200-1 odds. I was being playful.

True you said possible. Which of course it is. I would give it around 50-1 odds I would say.

Again, I will bet you the embarrassing signature if you like.

I agree with the bold prediction.

I think one underrated component is that he has to have a big chip on his shoulder after last year. The whole team should have one, so Zeke probably has a chip on a chip on his shoulder.

Plus, with all these new suspensions that are shorter despite more evidence, that chip stack must be getting taller and taller.

Really, if I were him, I think I'd have a whole pringles can on my shoulder by now.

Walk it through, bro. How does one do a signature bet for 200 to 1? Or 50 to 1? Let’s move along.
