Boldin is a good WR but I have confidence in Miles Austin and Patrick Crayton as the second and third WR's.

spoken like a true homer.

Boldin is head and shoulders better than these two and will be for a lot of years. He runs like MBIII after he catches it...

He is in the upper tier of NFL wideouts bro.

If I was Jerry I would start making offers on a daily basis for him.

I'm with you DC. Bolden is young, it would be a great acquisition long term. The only problem is he's not coming cheap.

I'm talking significant compensation to Arizona and Boldin in a long term deal.

DC, what do you think Arizona would take and what would Boldin new contract look like?

Everytime someone is unhappy with their situation, Dallas automatically becomes a potential destination spot, I'd rather go with the injury free and might I add younger guys like Austin and Stanback...
You realized Stanback entered the league as an injury risk. I get what you're saying trusting Stanback is a risky prospect for 2008.

I'm cautiously optimistic about Austin, but we'll have to see. If there's an opportunity to get a Boldin/Roy Williams/Chad Johnson, I won't cry if Jerry pulls the trigger.

They have Fitz as their #1 WR so they would probably take a second rounder if Boldin doesn't show up to training camp.

They might even want one of the young WR's we have as well because Todd Haley is their offensive coordinator.

Imagine Haley convinces them to take Crayton and 4th for Boldin. I would not even blink twice before making that trade.

In our dreams! I'd go Crayton and a 2nd in a heartbeat.

What about the contract?

The money is tough. He isn't getting 'T.O. money' and he deserves more than 'Berrian money'. The WR market right now is all out of whack.

So Jerry and Stephen have to find a way to make him happy. I would even try to get some clauses in there as far as him playing all 16 regular season games. He does have some injury blips on the radar, but the last one was a dislocated toe so that should be good to go right now.

It really helps the situation that Drew Rosenhuas is his agent because both parties love working with each other. Rosenhaus can get Boldin to trust that the Cowboys will make him happy as far as the money goes.

The Cowboys have found enough money for everyone else so I don't think that's the problem in acquiring Boldin. The problem is the Cards letting him go because just like every other team they want that elite 1-2 punch at WR.

One problem...

I was the one that added that Austin video to Youtube, lol.

Give me Boldin over Austin and Crayton every time.

I think that makes it even better lol.

Austin couldn't beat out Sam Hurd last season when we were in need a speedy compliment to T.O. and I don't see him doing it this year.

All I'm saying is you can't have steak at every position also Ray Sherman is probably one of the best in the game at developing young wide receiver talent. I believe his work with Miles Austin will go a long ways this up coming training camp and preseason.

Oh I know bro.

We are completely on the same page.

Now watch this kid Amendola beat out Hurd, Stanback and Austin for the 3rd WR spot because Garrett wants to use him in the slot like the Pats use Welker, lol.

This is the one of the three (Boldin/Williams/Johnson) that I want us to get the most. We'd finally get that 1-2 power receiver punch we should of had when we should've kept Key over Terry, but 100x better.

I remember his rookie year, too, it was also Parcells' rookie year with us, and he said an off-the-wall comment that Boldin, just after his rookie season, was the best WR in the game.

Yea Big Bill is not always right, but he sure hit the nail on the head with Barber and Romo, also players from that same specific period of a few years, with similar street-slash styles of play.
