Steelers kicker Reed cited for public intoxication, disorderly conduct

Associated Press

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Jeff Reed has been cited by city police for public intoxication and disorderly conduct outside a bar a couple of blocks from where the team beat the Cleveland Browns a few hours earlier.

(function() { /* define adPath */ var adPath = "nfl.news/story/with-video-with-comments;s1=story;s2=with-video-with-comments;slot=inpage;url=id_00d5d81387c4f;nfl=ad;!category=;kw=;team=pit;conf=afc;dvsn=acn;plyr=jeffrey_reed;tile=10;test=;sz=640x360;ord=" + adRandom + "?"; nfl.widgets.VideoPlayers["vid2"] = new nfl.widgets.VideoPlayer({ contentId: "09000d5d8138626f", related: "team", adSetting: "1", size: "small", dartURL: "http://ad.doubleclick.net/pfadx/"+ adPath, uniqid: "vid2" });}());

Police say Reed was cited outside McFadden's Bar about 9 p.m. Sunday.
Reed kicked two field goals in the 27-14 victory.
This is Reed's second brush with the law this year.
He paid $543 in fines and restitution after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct and criminal mischief for damaging a paper towel dispenser in a convenience store bathroom in New Alexandria in February.
Team spokesman Dave Lockett says the team is still gathering information and has no comment.
Police say Reed will be mailed a summons to appear in city court.:)

He was probably under the influence of Terrell Owens, however Terrell proved he hasn't lost a step and bolted his *** out of there 4.0 style.

The paper towel dispenser must be mentally ill, seeking money & attention, and made the whole thing up.

This was in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and its my favorite part:

"He refused to get back into the vehicle, which was driven by his father. Instead, Mr. Reed put up his fists and got "into a fighters stance," according to a police affidavit.

The confrontation was swift as one officer put Mr. Reed in an arm lock while a second officer forced him to the ground."

OK, Mr. Perfect. Who among us has not beaten up a paper towel dispenser?:)
And believe me, when approached by the cops, the best thing to do is to get in a fighting stance. It uh, expedites things.

Last year we were at a bar around the corner from McFaddens called Mullens Pub, and we asked the staff if any of the Steelers or Pirates come here as it's right next to the Stadium, the first name mention was Jeff Reed and he must go outside a kick little Nerf balls while fans hold for him, heard he gets plastered all the time. BTW, they said Ward and Ben are jerks who hit on other people's girlfriends and that Plax was a little strange but cool.

My post was only a jab at Rothleisberger's claim about that girl.

So he either forced himself on this girl, .. or he had illicit sex outside of marriage with a hotel worker in Vagus, ... OK, .. either way he can stop pointing up to God after each first down or TD, ... ooo K.

It's lost something Ben.

(if it was consensual, it must not have been very good if she reacts this way, ... :lmao2: :lmao: :D )

Not that it matters, or would hurt them an awful lot, but I wonder if he'll face a suspension from the Commish since this is the second time he's gotten in trouble with the law this year.
