Bones needs to stay

No, he needs to be the first one out the door and why are you giving him credit for finding them just because they play on STs? We all saw them both in the USFL. Bones is a disaster, horrible chances on fakes at the worst times and you can make a case that our STs were only good because of pure talent, not coaching. How many times did we need to watch Tolbert unable to block the gunners last year? Are our coverage guys running down on kickoffs and punts or our blocking on returns really impressive over the last few years?

The Dallas Cowboys found KaVontae Turpin after he had a breakout season in the 2022 USFL. The Cowboys' special teams coordinator, John Fassel, had been watching Turpin since 2018.

How the Cowboys found Turpin
  • Watched his college games: Fassel watched Turpin's returns at TCU.

  • Followed him in other leagues: Fassel followed Turpin in the Fan Controlled Football league, Spring League, and USFL.

  • Contacted his agent: The Cowboys were the only team to contact Turpin's agent, Lynn Lashbrook, before signing him.
The Dallas Cowboys found Brandon Aubrey after special teams coordinator John Fassel evaluated him during the USFL season. Fassel watched Aubrey play in person at a USFL game and was impressed.

How the Cowboys found Aubrey
  • USFL draft
    Aubrey was drafted by the Birmingham Stallions in the 32nd round (260th overall) of the 2022 USFL draft.

  • Text messages
    Fassel texted Aubrey during the USFL season to encourage him and let him know he was being watched.

  • In-person game
    Fassel snuck onto the field during pregame to watch Aubrey play in person.
 
Other the the stupid fakes on 4th down the special teams were very solid again this year.
 
At this point, it really doesn't matter who stays and who leaves.

This franchise is going nowhere and it's going no where fast-real fast.

Lol. They are statically the best. Aubrey in kicks. Turp at returns. And best at allowing returns as well.
 
I think we have asked for permission to talk to Rich Bisaccia from the Packers. He was here before. I could see him coming in here and getting an interview. He almost got the Raiders gig.

Horse poop. Turpin was the MVP of the league. Aubrey was all USFL. If you didn’t know of both of them you have no clue about what goes on in the off-season. Fassel has been horrible since he has been here. If he was following them for so long, what took so long to sign them.

Did you read what I wrote? They are the best because of talent of Turpin and Aubrey, not coaching. If you watched this team for the last few years and Fassel didn’t have you pulling your hair out, I just don’t know what to tell you.
